The Mission of Woods Lake Elementary: A Magnet Center for the Arts, is a place where academics and the arts (academic excellence, respect, taking responsibility, and safety) create opportunities for learning in a safe and collaborative environment.

Welcome New Staff to Woods Lake Elementary
Mrs. Carrie Curry, Kindergarten
Mrs. Curry received her B.A. in English and her M.A. in Literacy Studies and has taught for 15 years. She comes with extensive experience in teaching reading. We are delighted to have her a part of our Woods Lake teaching team!
Ms. Kelly Hutchings, 3rd grade
Ms. Hutchings is a graduate of KPS and completed her B.A. degree at Michigan State University in Elementary Education and has taught middle school mathematics for seven years in Colorado. We welcome her back home to Michigan!
Ms. Roberta Perconti, School Psychologist
Ms. Perconti has been in the field of psychology for 35 years and has extensive experience in special education, programming administration, and school psychology. She comes to us with a collaborative spirit and a desire to connect with our school family.

Parent Teacher Student (update) Conference
This year, our parent teacher student update conferences will be October 15, 2020 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and October 16, 2020 from 12:30-8:30 p.m. We will be focusing on our students' current progress in each academic content area and the necessary steps to reach mastery as we end the first trimester in November.
