Help Out at the Book Fair
Our Fall Book Fair will be held the week of Sept. 23. Students will shop Monday or Tuesday with their class. Your teacher will share which day your class will be visiting. Family shopping night will be 6-8 PM on Sept. 24 - grab a book and then stay for the PTO Meeting! Additional shopping times will be periodically throughout the school day on the 25th - 27th, based on volunteer availability.
Shopping flyers will be going home soon to browse books that will be available. You'll also receive information on Scholastic's new eWallet. You can pre-load money to a certificate so your child doesn't need to deal with cash that day. For more info, go to scholastic.com/fair.
Helpers will be needed to help staff the Book Fair. Volunteer slots are available each day, as well as Tuesday evening. Sign up for a slot to help via AtoZConnect - just go to Event Signups. If you're not already registered for AtoZConnect, you can do so by going to join.atozconnect.com then go to Event Signups after you verify your information.

Volunteer to Be a Homeroom Parent
Thanks to everyone who has volunteered to be a Homeroom parent so far. Remember, if more than 3 people sign up for a class, we'll select the homeroom parent via lottery on Sept. 25.
Several classes could use more volunteers: Mrs. Winters, Mrs. Shomers, Mrs. Bohen, Mrs. Maciolek, Mrs. Hudock, Ms. O'Donnell, Mrs. Corrales (both AM and PM needed), Ms. Oliver, Mr. Perler, & Mrs. Coleman.
Your kids love to see you helping around the school. Read our Homeroom Parent flyer below to learn more. If you'd like to volunteer, let us know by completing our interest form: http://bit.ly/BGSRmPrt2019 Last day to submit your name is Sept. 23.
As a reminder, if you volunteer to be a Homeroom Parent, you must attend an information session on Tuesday, Sept. 24 from 6:30 - 7:15.
Be a Part of the BGS Student Directory
Our BGS Student directory is perfect for setting up playdates, sending party invitations, and finding buddies for carpools. It's only helpful when you submit your info!
To enter your information in the student directory, go to join.atozconnect.com. Remember that YOU get to pick what information is shared.
If you're one of the 60+ families who have already registered for AtoZ Connect, you're all set.
If you've registered, but haven't yet verified your information, you'll get a reminder notice this weekend to remember to verify your registration and finish things up.
PTO Members will get electronic access to the directory via AtoZ Connect or can opt to purchase a paper copy of the directory. We plan to print the directory by the end of October, so don't delay - sign up today!
