Cedar Hill Girls Basketball Team Takes Third Place at Spring Creek Invitational
The Cedar Hill High School Girls Basketball Team won four of five games to take third place at the Spring Creek Invitational in Mansfield.
Both Brooklyn King and Tajenae Gooden made the All-Tournament Team for the Lady Longhorns (13-9, 3-0).
Cedar Hill defeated Coppell -- a team that reached the state semifinals last season -- 63-37 and then edged Amarillo, 54-52. The Lady Longhorns lost to South Grand Prairie, 55-38, in the semifinals before bouncing back to defeat North Little Rock (Arkansas), 55-48, in the third place game.
Cedar Hill will resume District 6A-11 Competition tomorrow at Duncanville (18-3). They'll host Mansfield (11-11) on Friday.

Cedar Hill Boys Basketball Heads to Duncanville Tomorrow Night
The Cedar Hill High School Boys Basketball Team split its four games in the Dallas ISD Holiday Classic.
The Longhorns (14-7, 0-1) defeated Arlington Sam Houston, 81-54. It was their second victory this season over the Texans. They lost to Red Oak, 56-52, before bouncing back with a 61-42 victory over Dallas Madison.
Cedar Hill was eliminated from the tournament with a 69-56 loss to Dallas Kimball.
CHHS will resume District 6A-11 Competition tomorrow night at Duncanville (6-8) and host Mansfield (9-6) on Friday.

Williams Matches Career High in Fiesta Bowl
Kentucky junior offensive lineman Courtland Ford and the Wildcats (6-7) lost to Clemson, 38-35, in the Gator Bowl. The Wildcats finished with 398 yards of total offense.
Liberty sophomore cornerback Amarian Williams matched his career-high with six tackles in a Fiesta Bowl loss. Teammate Kaidon Salter finished with 151 yards and a touchdown for the Flames (13-1).

The Cedar Hill High School Girls Soccer Team tied Temple in its season opener, 1-1. Dulce Zapata scored a goal on an assist from McKinlee Butler.
The Lady Longhorns (0-0-1) will host Captain Shreve (Louisiana) at 2 p.m. Wednesday in their home opener.

Cedar Hill Boys Soccer to Open 2024 Season against Fort Worth Boswell
The Cedar Hill High School Boys Soccer Team will open the 2024 season against Fort Worth Boswell at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the Grapevine-Colleyville Tournament.
Last season, the Longhorns scored historic victories over Duncanville and Waxahachie. They missed the postseason by just one match.
