Parent Teacher Conferences are an optimal way for parents and teachers to join together to discuss student’s strengths and areas for further growth. This fall, our conferences will be offered virtually. Last year, we received positive feedback from families about the virtual format. Families shared that the virtual format made it easier for both parents to attend, eliminated the need for childcare at home, and allowed for working parents to join a conference from their workspace. Parents who wish to schedule an in person conference will be able to do so by contacting the office directly.

It may be a helpful reminder that middle school conferences are not booked with homeroom teachers. Conferences should be booked with your child’s academic teachers, related arts teachers, and, if applicable, related service providers.

Conferences will be held on the afternoon and evening of November 7th and the full day of November 8th. Conferences will be scheduled through our online appointment booking system, Pick-A-Time. A link to Pick-A-Time will be provided on our Luther Burbank website. Fall conference Pick-A-Time scheduling will open on October 20 at 7:00 PM.

Please be reminded that we request that you notify the school if your child is going to be late or absent. You can do so easily by emailing LBMSattendance@nrsd.net. Please feel free to call Nurse Ana at 978-365-5629 if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Join us this Friday, October 21, as we help promote understanding and support of Rotary International’s effort to eliminate the disease of polio for good. Why is it called Purple Pinkie? When a child is vaccinated for polio, he/she has a purple stamp placed on their little finger. Building on this symbolism, our students will learn about the efforts to raise funds for oral vaccine in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Nigeria the three countries where polio still remains and become part of the solution. Since one dollar is the estimated cost to immunize a child from polio, students are encouraged to bring in a dollar or more to help with the cause. Best of all, the donations will be matched by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation so every donation will go even farther.

The universal free lunch program has been extended through the 2022-2023 school year. As a result, school lunches (and breakfasts) will be offered at no charge to all students this school year. Please be aware that this offer extends to one lunch serving per day. Should a student request a second lunch serving, their account will be charged accordingly.

All students need to register for a lunch account on My School Bucks to receive their daily lunch. Families can register by selecting “Lunch Menu and Payment” under Quick Links on the homepage of our web site nrsd.net.

Substitute teaching offers flexibility and a direct interface with our awesome students. It also offers interested community members a way to contribute to our school. Come enjoy some fun musical selections at the Nashoba Regional High School in October and November!

• NRHS Bands will perform on Wednesday, October 26th at 7 pm
• NRHS Choral groups will perform on Wednesday, November 2nd at 7 pm

Admission for the high school concerts is $5 per person (seniors and students are free), payable at the door.

On Sunday, October 30th at 3 pm the Nashoba Symphonic Band will be playing their fall concert, "Brilliant Expositions!" including Bernstein's Suite from "Candide", Shostakovitch's "Festive Overture", and Giannini's "Symphony #3 for Band". NSB concerts are free to the public, but donations are welcome.

NRHS Fall Concerts are held in the NRHS auditorium (12 Green Road, Bolton, MA). These concerts are family friendly...younger musicians are especially encouraged to attend. Come and enjoy music at Nashoba Regional High School!

Break out your sneakers and come support the Sam Pawlak Memorial 5k on November 19, 2022 at 1 PM. This fun family event takes place at the Mary Rowlandson/Luther Burbank schools in Lancaster. Runners and walkers, are encouraged to come out and support the Nashoba community in memory of Sam Pawlak. Half of the proceeds from this event will be awarded as a scholarship to two graduating seniors from Nashoba Regional High School. There will also be a children's 1 mile fun run that begins at 1PM! Come dressed in your favorite holiday attire! Prizes awarded to the best dressed! Shirts guaranteed up until Oct 24th only.

Nashoba Youth basketball is an organization of volunteers who together help build and manage the various regional youth basketball programs. These programs include a Youth Basketball League, Central Mass. travel basketball, the summer basketball program and our association with the numerous AAU Programs.

Youth basketball is for students in grades 1-8.

Travel basketball is for students in grades 4-8.
