IT IS TIME TO SIGN UP FOR OUR NEXT PBL SHOWCASE ON 12/16/2022:
Greetings,
The students, faculty and staff of Coleman Middle School are excited for our second community showcase of the school year! We believe input from our stakeholders is an integral part of "The Coleman Experience" for our students. We will host the Quarter Two Showcase on December 16, 2022, from 10am - 11am. We hope you will be able to attend and provide feedback to the students and their projects. I have included the grade level driving question along with locations. Please feel free to invite any of your colleagues, family, and friends. Please follow the link below to sign-up for the showcase prior to December 16, 2022.

Chick Fil A Biscuit Sales, EVERY FRIDAY in DECEMBER (2nd, 9th, and 16th):
Ready for something warm to eat for breakfast in this cold weather? The PTA will be selling Chick Fil A Biscuits for $5 at carpool and bus lanes every Friday in December at 8:15AM until we run out of biscuits! We accept Cash, Card, or Cash App ($ColemanPTA).
Set Up Your Amazon Smiles Account to Support Coleman PTA:
The holidays are here and with that comes a lot of online shopping. Amazon has a program called Amazon Smile that donates part of your purchases to a charity of your choice at no extra cost. Coleman Middle School has an Amazon Smile account that you can choose to donate to if you would like. You can find it under "Coleman Middle School PTA". This is a great way to support our school. GIRLS ON THE RUN
December 3 – Girls on the Run 5K
Girls on the Run 5K registration for Running Buddies and community participants will open later this month, and stay tuned for an announcement on the new 5K location!

Register for the Girls on the Run 5K on Saturday, December 3! Participants of all abilities are welcome to join us for our inspiring end-of-the-season 5K celebration at The Battery Atlanta, home of Truist Park and the Atlanta Braves.

Office volunteers are needed to help with inventorying supplies, field bags, curriculum books and other items from the fall season.

ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL:
For question, concerns, and dispatch services about buses, call transportation: 770-513-6686.
- Parents please be advised that during morning drop off and dismissal, Coleman Middle School will provide student supervision while students are on school property only.
- No students should be dropped off and/or picked up on any of the immediate streets surrounding Coleman.
- Riding with parents or the bus ensures a safe and secure arrival and dismissal for students at Coleman Middle each day.
- We do not provide supervision once students are off campus.

The School Nutrition Program will now transition to pre-pandemic operations. Meals are no longer available at no charge to all students.

On August 18, 2022 the Gwinnett County Board approved Policy JCDI - Board's Theory of Action for Change to Improve Student Behavior and Outcomes. You can use this LINK to review the new JCDI policy.
To accommodate the new tenants of Policy JCDI, a new Parent & Student Handbook has been released. You can find the new 2022-2023 GCPS Student Conduct Behavior Code and 2022-2023 GCPS Handbook for Students and Families on this LINK.
