Student Highlight
Veterinary Assistant- Cierra Cook
Cierra Cook is a junior at Legacy High School.
Cierra has been riding horses for three years, and likes working and being around animals. So when the choice to take a vet class at Washington Square came up, she decided to register. Cierra believes she has found her future direction as now she wants to pursue a career in the field as a veterinarian.
Cierra said she holds herself to high standards and will not settle for poor grades in school. Her teacher, Mrs. Mason said Cierra is awesome to have in class, adds value to classroom discussions, is great with client communication, and now has skills that put her on par with those working in a veterinary clinic.
Congratulations Cierra for being December's Student Highlight!

Developing Future Skills
Students in Mrs. Seyfried's English 12 courses completed their final job interviews before the week-long break in November. Students prepared for behavioral interviewing questions, practiced their speech and delivery, and dressed the part. Bravo to our students for a job well done!

Tiny Home Update
According to Construction program teacher Mr. Aaron Cooper, our level two construction class is well underway for the annual tiny home build. This is the third unit we are building and the students are learning how the full project comes together. The siding is in the shop and should be up and looking like a finished house (on the outside) in the next few weeks.
Some groups and students have started work on the inside, with rough-in plumbing and electrical. Mr. Cooper said they are thrilled to continue this work.
