Boys Basketball

Our Jr. High boys basketball team is in the middle of their season and doing great! Come support them as they play hard and represent our school at our final home game;

Building updates

Those walls are big! The brick walls will be completed shortly. They will get the steel beams and roof put together. Thank you for being accommodating while construction is being done!

Check out this flyer for some reminders on staying healthy this season. Don't forget to eat good, healthy food and exercise daily!

Virtual Day Lunch Procedure

Friday, January 13 is a virtual day. Students who request lunch for that day will take it home with them on Thursday, January 12th.


Please talk to your children about ordering lunch for that day. If you do not want your child to request a lunch, you can notify your child's teacher via email before January 9. Lunch for that day will be mini pizzas or a PBJ.


Elementary: Teachers will take lunch count in their classes on Monday, January 9th.


Jr High: Teachers will take lunch count during 5th period on Thursday, January 5th.

Attendance Update

School attendance has been one of the biggest challenges our school has faced the past few years. Here are the attendance numbers for the month of November;


Absences - 1,132 (K-6), 349 (7-9)

Tardies - 1,095 (K-6), 735 (7-9)


December's numbers will be shared in the next few weeks.

OPA Preschool Enrollment

We are currently taking information from families interested in Preschool for the 2023-2024 school year. Preschool will NOT use the k-9 registration and lottery system. If you are interested in preschool please express interest by completing the following form. Thank you!

Dollar Dress Day

Uniform-Free Dress Day Standards

  • Shorts and skirts need to follow the regular uniform dress code regarding length.

  • Shirts can be long or short-sleeved. No tank tops. Shirts without sleeves should have a shoulder seam that reaches the shoulder not to be less than 3 inches.

  • No clothing which displays obscene, vulgar, lewd, or sexually explicit words, messages, logos, or pictures.

  • No hoodies or shirts with hoods.

  • Clothing with holes or rips will be allowed only if there is appropriate material preventing exposed skin (leggings under ripped jeans, patches, etc).

Family Engagement Night

We will have four different classes/workshops for parents, grandparents, guardians, and other interested adults, you can choose which you attend.


The following classes/workshops will be offered:


Using Clever - our single sign on (SSO) taught by Stephanie Wright.

Seven Habits Introduction taught by Kasey Kennington.

Healthy Eating and Nutrition on a Budget, part 1/4 taught Kayla Lane Nutrition Ambassador at Create Better Health.

Everyday Strong: a new approach to anxiety and depression: Helping your child with their emotional health taught by Lindsey Pulver from NUHOPE.
