Fishing Trip
We all had a great time at our annual fishing trip. Thanks to Alaska Troutfitters, Cooper Landing Fish Camp, Alaska Clearwater Sportfishing, Hemingway's Alaskan Adventures, and Kenai River Fly Fishing. See pictures, below.
Early Release
Tomorrow, Wednesday, September 15 is an early release day. Students will be dismissed at 1:45.
Volunteers/Criminal Background Checks
If you wish to participate in any field trips or volunteer activities, you must complete the online application which includes consenting to a criminal background check. This is an annual requirement. Navigate to this page to complete the application.
Masking
The district highly recommends that all students and staff wear a face covering while indoors. Any visitors to the school must wear a face mask.

Parents: If you have not been on Power School to fill out your student's 'Back to School Forms'
Please be sure to do that ASAP. If you have never logged into Power School, you will need to create an account. Here is a link to the forms and instructions: https://www.kpbsd.k12.ak.us/students_parents.aspx?id=39221
We still do not have a Food Service Manager, so there is no meal service at this time.
Students should come to school with food for am snack time and lunch.
Also each student should have a water bottle, to avoid frequent trips to the fountain.

BOOK ORDERS- If families haven't gotten their Scholastic Books order in, there is still time to get some really great deals and wonderful books for the chilly weather! All orders need to be submitted by September 30th. The link below will allow you to submit an online order.
FOOD BANK- We do still have a decent amount of dry goods from our Soldotna Food Bank delivery. Please feel free to come over and take what you need.
SUBBING AND VOLUNTEERS- We are still without a permanent secretary and our substitute thanks you for your patience and kindness. For anyone who had the time or desire to help out, we would love to have additional volunteers and are always desperate for substitutes. If you are interested in being either, please fill out an application on the district website. From this link you can fill out both a substitute application and volunteer paperwork. Thank you ahead of time!

DISTRICT POLICY- COVID-19 mask policy remains the same, they are not required, but strongly encouraged. District policy DOES, however, still require that all parents, guests and visitors wear a mask at all times while in the building. Thank you for your compliance and help keeping our students safe.
Stay warm and have a great September!
