MISSION MOMENT
At OIC-CADI, we inspire and challenge the over-age, under-credited population of Philadelphia to gain 21st-century and valuable life skills to graduate with a foundation to thrive in today’s global society.
Every month, I will continue to shout out teachers or staff who exemplify the CADI mission.
On May 17th, we walked into a beautiful space at the Marriot Renaissance in Center City. We were greeted by smiles from the valet parking staff and walked up a beautifully designed staircase. On the top of the steps was a welcome table with gift bags for students. The landing area was gorgeously adorned with unique furniture pieces and a large chandelier. Walking through the double doors, you could hear the drums from the loud music playing in the background. The space was absolutely stunning. The lighting was low, with tables and settings all around the wood-paneled dance floor. There was a videographer, DJ, servers at the drink bar, and a balloon montage under the huge bay windows. This was the setting for our first prom since before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Students began to pull up in Mercedes- Benz trucks, Range Rovers, and even a Rolls Royce. Dressed impeccably, looking like royalty. It was a fun night of dancing, fun, and good times. I am looking forward to next year! Thank you, Dr. Scott, for assisting Mrs. Knowles in putting together a prom to remember. Thank you, Mrs. Knowles, for your commitment and dedication to the students of CADI!
2024 Marks OIC CADI's 20th Anniversary! Let's continue to embody the mission.
