This weekend, the drama club will perform Shrek Jr.

• Showtimes are Friday at 7:00 p.m and Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
• Tickets cost $5 for students and $10 for adults. Staff can get in for free, but their guests will need to pay. Students and their parents/ caregivers can purchase tickets online.
• Everyone else must pay at the door.

HOW TO BUY TICKETS ONLINE:

All parents and caregivers received an email from School Cash Online (SCO) with notification for how to pay for the Shrek Jr. tickets.

• The email subject is “School Cash Online: New attachment notification”
• Open the email to find "Shrek Jr." listed.
• Sign in to purchase tickets.

Eastern Middle School PTSA

Northwood High School’s The Black Diaspora Club will be reviving our annual International and Cultural week during the week of March 18, 2024 culminating with International Night on Thursday, March 21st, 2024 at 5:30pm in the Northwood auditorium and cafeteria. All Northwood and MCPS community members, including any elementary, middle, and high school students and families, are invited to participate in International Night, whether it is through registering to bring food, performing, or hosting an activity table about your country and culture. Students who participate will receive SSL hours and a chance to meet new students and learn about the cultures of their peers. Please see the flyers and information linked here to sign up!

Join the Girls’ Summit on Saturday, March 9 at Northwood High School. This event will provide informative workshops geared towards students in grades 6–12 on a variety of current topics. Read more.

Montgomery County public and private high school students are invited to submit videos for the county Department of Transportation’s “Heads Up, Phones Down” video contest. The 30-second public service announcements are due by 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 29. Entries can be submitted individually or as a group of up to four in English or Spanish.

Students can submit their entries on the website’s entry form here. Students may also qualify for up to 10 Student Service Learning (SSL) hours for successfully completing an entry. Winning contestants will be visited by MCDOT staff and will have their videos posted on MCDOT’s Safe Routes to School website on Friday, March 15. Last year's winning videos can be viewed online. More information, including a list of prizes, is available on the contest website.
