The final Strategic Plan will be presented to the Board of Education on April 18. The final plan will include goals and action steps that are parceled out over the five years of the Strategic Plan. Every year the district will present goals and also report quarterly to the Board about progress and the overall impact of all actions on student learning.

Rock Your Socks Drive for World Down Syndrome Day
World Down Syndrome Day, which is observed on March 21 every year, is a global awareness day which has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012. The date for WDSD, the 21st day of the 3rd month, was selected to signify the 3 copies of the 21st chromosome which causes Down Syndrome. On a chromosome chart, the chromosomes look similar to socks, which is where the idea for Rock Your Socks came from. On March 21 every year we rock our funky or mismatched socks to celebrate everyone’s differences that makes all who we are.
As a way to help everyone Rock Their Socks, we are collecting new, unused socks to support the People's Resource Center. Collection boxes for socks are located in all District 41 buildings. Thank you in advance for participating and donating socks! A special thank you to Board of Education Vice President Jason Loebach for coordinating Rock Your Socks every year in District 41.
