Pear Deck is a communication platform that lets teachers create interactive assessments and presentations that students can follow from their personal devices. It is used in conjunction with Google slides and PowerPoint and assists teachers with designing engaging learning experiences and embedding formative assessments into online classrooms, and is designed to integrate with your district's existing tools including both Google or Microsoft applications.

It’ s that time of year again! The MBAEA offers the book of the month club and we would love for you to be a part of it! Once signed up, you will automatically receive a box of 30 randomly selected fiction & nonfiction books every 6 weeks. This will be a rotating collection and each box will need to be returned before receiving your next box of books so that another classroom can enjoy them.

How will I get them?
The boxes of books will come via AEA van mail delivery to your district; your district will bring them to your individual building(s). Please check your drop off area often.

The School Library Journal Summit is going virtual this year, so the free event is even easier than ever to attend. It's all day on Saturday, October 24, and features timely topics, including:

Here are the results released from the latest REALM study, research on how long the COVID-19 virus survives on materials that are prevalent in libraries. This week's results looked at materials they tested in the first study, including hardcover and paperback books. The first study had books laid out flat, and the virus was gone after three days of quarantining. This time, the books were stacked, akin to books being on a shelf or in a book drop, and it's no exaggeration to say I gasped when I read it . . . after six days, the virus was still detected on all materials studied. How will this impact your school library?
