Just a reminder that Tuesday, Sept. 13th is Picture Day for students and staff! Pictures will be taken after morning announcements. You can order online at inter-state.com/order and enter Order Code 72229EF before Picture Day to receive free shipping to the school.

We will have early dismissal at 2:05 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14th - please have transportation in place for your student.

Thank you for attending our annual Title I Review and Update Meeting that took place at our first PTO meeting.

In order to ensure that students are in the correct dismissal lineup, families MUST communicate PRIOR TO 3:00 pm with any changes. This is very important and helps our staff out tremendously. As you can imagine, the last hour of the day is one of the busiest times of the day. Thank you for your support. All day of changes should be called into the front office at 314-415-6100. If you know more than a day in advance, you can write a note and send to your child's teacher.

Please make sure your child knows how they are to get home each day. Feel free to write a note and place it in their backpack until they feel more comfortable with their schedule.

Dear Carman Parents,

Letters were sent home this week for fourth and fifth grade students interested in joining our Cougar Chorus. It will be held on Thursday mornings before school from 8:00 to 8:45a.m. beginning on September 22nd. I will have more information about performances at the start of chorus, but they will include the Veteran’s Assembly and a concert in December, as well as May Day. Rehearsals will begin on Thursday, September 22nd, at 8 AM in the music room and will run through December 15.

Rehearsals will begin again in March and run until May 11.

I ask that Cougar Chorus forms be returned by Friday, September 16, so I know who to expect at our first rehearsal. If you have any questions, you can email me at rcarroll@parkwayschools.net.

Join Parkway and Brian Kuhn, MA, LPC, Director of the Student Wellness Program at Care and Counseling, on September 19th from 6:00 - 7:30 PM at the Parkway Welcome Center located at 760 Woods Mill Road. You can join us in person or click here to watch the event live.

We will discuss how we can best support the mental health of our students as they begin a new school year, and at any time. Brian will share information about the importance of mental wellness in young people and how adults can support them. He will also share information about the Student Wellness Program, which will be offered in every Parkway school this year.
