Falcon Flyer for Families!
Week of October 30, 2023!
October 30, 2023
Happy Halloween!
Good afternoon,
I hope that you have had an enjoyable weekend. October is ending, and November is beginning this week. The fall will fly by fast; we will have Thanksgiving Break in just 3 1/2 weeks, and Winter Break will be 4 weeks after that! Please monitor student progress through Canvas and PowerSchool. You can check student absences and current class averages through PowerSchool, too. Remember that students may retake unit assessments if the average falls below an 80; one attempt at retake is allowable as long as the student meets with the teacher for remediation and requests the retake within 5 days.
Tutoring is up and running. There will not be tutoring on Halloween (Tuesday), but it will resume on Wednesday. Please don't hesitate to reach out should you have any questions.
Congratulations to our Falcon Spotlight Winners for October (Learner Profile: Caring)! Sixth grade winners: Mexali Tapia Veras, Elliott Shepard, Emily Walden, and the Teacher winner is Ms. Jones! Seventh Grade Winners: Norah Cordle, Aa'Layah Boatright, Chrisyariel Mendez Crespo, and the teacher winner is Ms. Yannotti! For Eighth Grade, Camille Fulton, Kinsleigh Threatt, Ta'miyah Teasley and the teacher winner is Ms. Arruda!! The Staff Spotlight is Mr. AJ DeJesus! We are lucky to have these caring leaders amongst our students, faculty, and staff!
Have a fantastic week, Falcons, and don't forget to make good choices.
Dr. Jacqueline Persinski

Native American Heritage Month
RHS Recognizes National Native Amerian Heritage Month
November is National Native American Indian Heritage Month and we are proud to join the national effort in celebrating and highlighting the many achievements of Native Americans.
Our schools are celebrating National Native American Indian Heritage Month with activities and lessons that will lift up significant people in the history of our community, state, and nation. Additionally, Native American culture is a part of our year-long curriculum and we are working toward celebrating diverse backgrounds today and every day of the year.
Throughout this month we will share stories and highlights celebrating National Native American Indian Heritage Month from some of our schools. We invite you to follow along with us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
