π Notice About Midterm Exams π
We hope that you all came back from Winter Break well rested and ready to push through to the end of Semester one. Although there is no exam week, we do want to remind you that many classes will be administering midterm-style assessments over the course of the next two weeks. Assessments in some classes will be in the form of a project, while others will be more traditional exams. Semester one (and quarter two) ends on 1/19 with no school on 1/22 and quarter three begins on 1/23.
Special Masco Alumni Presentation
Winners of their classroom Poetry Out Loud contests will be competing in Masco's annual recitation contest on January 10th during periods 4 and 7. All Poetry 12 students will attend as well. Masco alumni Julia Toropov and Stuart Foster, Class of β14, will join Mascoβs own Ursina Amsler and Katie DiNardo in judging the contest. The winner of this contest will advance to the semifinals in March.

The Masco Peer Tutoring program is still accepting application for tutors and for students who would like to receiving tutoring! Now that we are approaching the end of semester 1, we know that some students have recognized their academic strengths and would like to become tutors. Other students might have realized that they could use some additional help in a specific subject matter. Interested students can complete the application to be a tutor or to receive tutoring on the Peer Tutoring website. Tutoring is available during M-block daily and during extra help on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Tutors can earn community service hours through their participation. Please reach out to Robin Wildman, Peer Tutor advisor at rwildman@masconomet.org or Giuliana Nazzaro, Peer Tutor coordinator, at gpnazzaro@mrsdmail.org.
