Here WE GROW! We have arrived at the final 3 school days in 2023. This week is filled with learning and celebrations of our growth. On Tuesday we will celebrate our reading growth with “Polar Express Pajama Day”! Our students earned their “golden tickets” by increasing their personal reading level.
We want to send a special thank you to the Players Reach Organization for hosting some #DolphinStrong superstars on a shopping spree last Thursday. Lifetime experiences were made because of your kindness and generosity!
This is our final 3 days of school (Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday). We will start Winter Break on Thursday, December 21 - January 8th. Students will return on January 9th. Please see the remaining sections of the newsletter for valuable resources and information.

¡Aquí CRECEMOS! Hemos llegado a los últimos 3 días escolares de 2023. Esta semana está llena de aprendizaje y celebraciones de nuestro crecimiento. ¡El martes celebraremos nuestro crecimiento en lectura con el “Día del Pijama Polar Express”! Nuestros estudiantes obtuvieron sus “boletos dorados” al aumentar su nivel de lectura personal.
Queremos enviar un agradecimiento especial a la organización Players Reach por recibir a algunas superestrellas #DolphinStrong en una juerga de compras el jueves pasado. ¡Se crearon experiencias inolvidables gracias a su amabilidad y generosidad!
Estos son nuestros últimos 3 días de clases (lunes, martes y miércoles). Comenzaremos las vacaciones de invierno el jueves 21 de diciembre al 8 de enero. Los estudiantes regresarán el 9 de enero. Consulte las secciones restantes del boletín para obtener información y recursos valiosos.

Happy Holidays Oak Springs Families! We are so excited to celebrate the students' reading success with our Polar Express Pajama Day this Tuesday, Dec. 19th. The students have been competing in the district's Million Minutes Reading Challenge over the last nine weeks against every school in the district. We are currently in 2nd place with over 73,510 minutes read!! This is a huge accomplishment and one to certainly celebrate. Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!
¡Felices vacaciones, familias de Oak Springs! Estamos muy emocionados de celebrar el éxito de lectura de los estudiantes con nuestro Día del Pijama Polar Express este martes 19 de diciembre. Los estudiantes han estado compitiendo en el Desafío de Lectura del Millón de Minutos del distrito durante las últimas nueve semanas contra todas las escuelas del distrito. ¡¡Actualmente estamos en el 2do lugar con más de 73,510 minutos leídos!! Central Texas Food Bank - Social Services
The Central Texas Food Bank’s social services team is continuing to assist clients with applying for SNAP (along with Medicaid, TANF, Healthy Texas Women, Medicare Savings Program, CHIP and CHIP Perinatal). We offer help with applications remotely and on-site. Our offices are located at 6500 Metropolis Drive, Austin, Texas 78744.
For the safety of our staff and the community we serve, we have implemented social distancing models and can see a limited number of clients at one time on-site at the Food Bank. To get help with applications on-site, please call our hotline to make an appointment first at 855-366-3401.
