Accounting Class
At RHS, we pride ourselves on fostering new and modern teaching concepts. Our accounting students kicked off the academic year with an innovative learning experience this year. Through a lively game of Monopoly, students mastered the essential concepts of debits and credits and forged new friendships.
Drawing inspiration from How the Brain Learns by Sousa (2022), the activity was designed to engage students actively and help them apply accounting principles in a real-world context. The game encouraged collaboration by grouping students, allowing them to bond while managing their Monopoly "finances."
This approach is a testament to RHS's commitment to integrating interactive and brain-based learning strategies into our curriculum. Combining engagement with education ensures our students understand the material deeply while building solid and supportive relationships with their peers.
Algebra 2
Algebra 2 students apply rules of transformation to graph functions.
Geometry
Students in geometry practiced writing reasoning statements on our table whiteboards.
