Get ready for a new and improved HBMS Curriculum Night that concludes with a community pep rally! Here are the details:

Date: Wednesday, September 11th

Time: 5:30-7:30 pm

Timeline of Events

5:30 - 6:45 PM

Parents rotate through, on their own time (there will not be a bell for each period), the following options provided:

• Option 1: Meet the Teachers
• Rotate through your student’s schedule. See our Curriculum Map for where classrooms are.
• This is not a time for parent/teacher conferences. This is to meet the teachers and learn about the curriculum and organization of their classroom.
• Option 2: Skyward & Lightspeed Information Session
• This information session will be located in the PLC (room across from the gym)
• Skyward: learn how to view attendance, and grades, and set up notifications for what alerts you want for your child.
• Lightspeed: learn how to view your child’s computer usage, set blockers, set limits on Internet time after school hours, etc.
• Option 3: Learn more about our Library Parental Controls
• Please see our Librarian, Caitlin Hooker to modify/update your parental controls on what you’d like your student to have access to in our library.

Parents transition to the Main Gym for the HBMS Community Pep Rally!

Community Pep Rally featuring band, choir, dance, cheer, and more! Campus administration will also be giving a welcome/campus update during this time.

School picture day is coming up on Thursday September 12th. Students will take their photos during their ELA class period. Order forms were distributed during Grow Time last week or you can pre-order using this link.

Picture Re-take Day will be Thursday October 24th during lunch if your student is absent this Thursday.

• Personal smart devices are not allowed to be used during this time.
• School work only - no games or socializing
• Remain in Homework Help entirety of assigned time
• Leaving early requires teacher to speak with parent

A place where any and all students are welcome to “shop” confidentially for free items they need.
