Principal's Corner-CES
June
A note from Mrs. Alvarez-
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to inform you of a significant and bittersweet decision I made back in March. After much reflection and consideration, I decided to step down from my position as principal of Coahoma Elementary.
Serving as the principal of Coahoma for the past 9 years has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional career. Together, we have built a nurturing environment that has fostered academic excellence, personal growth, and a strong sense of community.
This decision has not been easy, but I believe it is time for me to embark on a new chapter in my professional journey and personal life. I am excited about the new opportunities that lie ahead, but I will deeply miss the daily interactions with our wonderful students, dedicated staff, and supportive parents.
I want to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you. Your unwavering support, trust, and collaboration have been instrumental in the successes we have achieved as a school community. It has been a privilege to witness our students' growth and accomplishments and to work alongside such a committed and passionate group of educators and parents.
Rest assured, the school board and district administration are committed to ensuring a smooth transition. Brynn McJimsey, the current Assistant Principal, has been named the Principal for the 24-25 school year and I am confident that she will continue to build upon the strong foundation we have established.
In the coming weeks, I will work closely with Mrs. McJimsey to ensure a seamless handover and to support her in any way possible. I am confident that CES will continue to thrive and achieve great things in the future.
Once again, thank you for the incredible journey we have shared. It has been an honor to serve as your principal, and I will always cherish the memories and experiences we have had together.
With warm regards and best wishes,
Alison Alvarez
