Board of Trustees- Parent Representative

A voting form has now been sent to your address.

On the form you have an option of voting for 1 of our 5 Parent candidates.

Eligible candidates can vote and return your forms to the school office or post your form to the PO Box envelope inside your voting pack.

You will have until August 14th at 12pm to vote. We will then announce the new Parent Representative for South Auckland Middle School BOT.

Trips coming up...

Inter-Villa basketball competition

Thursday 13th August we will have our termly villa-competition take place at the ASB stadium in Henderson. 8 students from each villa will be selected to represent in our Basketball competition. We know SAMS villa will do their best to bring home that trophy.

Parents are welcome to head along and support our students, games will start at 9.30am at the stadium.

Year 8- Crystal Mountain Park

Year 8's are covering a 'Rock and Mineral topic' and to give a greater depth we organised for the students to visit the Crystal Mountain park.

Super Staff

Deanne Kathagen is our Totara social studies and music teacher. Deanne has been apart of the team for over 5 years. She continues to increase her skills by completing her Masters. She is a servant-hearted person who is constantly going above and beyond for her colleagues and students. Deanne you are kind hearted and generous part of SAMS. We appreciate the consistent contribution to our team.

Totara Villa

Betty Fricker is a year 7 in Totara. Betty is our star pupil for Totara this week. Betty is a great example of an enthusiastic student that is always willing to learn. She has shown excellence in her cultural interests and participation in the community (please see the video above, representing Weymouth primary with her mum).

Rata Villa

Tuwhainoa Leafa is a year 7 in Rata. Tuwhainoa is our star pupil for Rata this week. Tuwhainoa is a pleasant and polite individual who brings a joyful presence to Rata. This week Tuwhainoa has engaged well in his classes asking challenging questions in Maths class and participating in his work.

Manuka Villa

Donella is a year 9 in Manuka. Donella is our star pupil for Manuka this week. Donella has such a beautiful nature and has a positive attitude in all her classes. She is helpful and repectful, always caring for her peers.
