COME ONE, COME ALL....TO THE GREATEST SCHOOL OF ALL!!
Jill Fletcher, Principal & Jill Geran, Assistant Principal
Principal's Message
Thank you for helping us have a smooth transition into the school year! We appreciate your support and understanding as we learn the routines and procedures. Our staff has worked hard to help your child be successful and ready to learn!
A few back to school reminders:
Students are NOT allowed to be dropped off before 7:30. Please have your child remain in the vehicle with you until the front door is unlocked at 7:30 and staff members are on duty. This is a HUGE safety concern and we ask your help in this matter.
Please have your student ready to exit vehicle. We work hard to keep the flow of traffic safe and steady. This can not happen if your child is not ready (with ALL of their belongings) when their time comes to exit the vehicle.
Please remember to call the office for any transportation changes. We will not allow a child to go home in any way other than their permanent transportation plans unless a call is made to the office (before 2:30 please) at 501-743-3573. Teachers may not see a message or email before dismissal, so let us help communicate the change for you! THANK YOU!
Lunch Charge Reminders & Calls
When a student's account reaches -$10, you will get an email reminder. The school office will call if it reaches -$25. Central Office will contact you if the account is not paid.
Just a reminder:
Breakfast is free this year for all students. Breakfast ends daily at 8:00.
Lunch costs:
Reduced Lunch: (No charge)
Regular Lunch: $2.65
Milk/Water: $. 50
*if your child does not bring a drink in their lunchbox, they may be charged for a milk or water. Please provide a drink or water bottle in the lunchbox. It is hard to for them to remember their water bottles from the classrooms and they get lost easily.
Payments can be made through the EZschoolpay.
Free and Reduced Lunches can be applied for at EZMealApp
Lunch money can be sent with the students in an envelope with the student's name and teacher
CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS
Want to be an Eastside Hallway Hero?
Hallway Heroes are volunteers who help provide support at our building. Some Hallway Heroes open car doors in the morning or afternoon, volunteer in the workroom helping teachers, read to students, and even help out during lunch.
Please complete this form and Central Administrative Office will contact you.
Hallway Heroes must pass all district required background checks. They must also follow district and building-level policies and procedures and demonstrate professional conduct at all times.
*If you have participated in Hallway Hero training previously, you do not have to participate in the training again. However, you will be required to pass a background check every year.

Character Word for September: EMPATHY
Please join us, as Eastside students and staff study the word: empathy.
Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of another.
When is a time you had to show empathy, or wish you had shown empathy to others?

Birthday Celebrations at Eastside
Every birthday is special! You are welcome to send nonfood items (erasers, pencils, bookmarks, etc.) to celebrate your child’s actual birthday, but we must reserve store bought food items for our monthly party. Please help us by not asking to send food items on other days! This is in accordance with Section 5.02.04 of the Arkansas Nutrition Standards Rules. Classroom teachers and school newsletters will give more information monthly.
