Message from Ms. Bridget Wallace
Welcome to our new families and Welcome Back to our returning families! I'm so excited to be back at Bay for my 2nd year in San Lorenzo Unified (my 9th year as a princpal). I absolutely adore the students and staff at Bay, so my decision to return was an easy one. I am also looking forward to partnering with all of the wonderful Bay families again. We have a lot of work to do this year to get our students where they need to be academically at each grade level, but we will do it together. We will also be sure to make time each day for fun and joy because that's important for student development as well. It's going to be an amazing school year at Bay!
- School starts at 8:40am and gates open at 8:30am. You may want to come early!
- Dismissal is at 1:30pm on the first day. Please let your child know how they will be picked up (walk or car) so they know where to wait after school. On Thurs & Fri. there is regular dismissal at 3:20pm (1-5) and 1:45pm (TK-K).
- Be sure to check Aeries Parent Portal after 4pm on Tuesday, 8/13, to see who your child's assigned teacher is.
- There is always A LOT of traffic and very LITTLE street parking. Please do not park in the staff parking lot. Allow time to park and walk your child to school.
- For the 1st week of school, students in grades TK-1 enter/exit the Bockman gate and students in grades 2-5 enter/exit the Loop gate. This will help with the flow and avoid crowding. *see map
- Your child should pack a reusable water bottle and a snack. School lunch is available for any students who don't bring lunch from home.
- Please check your child’s folder when they return home. There will be a 2024-25 Bay Calendar that will have school hours, testing days and no days off.
