Three Days In!!!!!!!!!!
We are Rocking It
Third Day of School!!!!!
Awesome Open House!
It was so hot at Open House. Thank you for trudging through the heat. I saw so many smiling faces on kids and parents faces. I do believe the students truly love coming to Claywell. It is an awesome place to be and we appreciate our community so much. Your child is in great hands with us at Claywell.
I am going to send a weekly newsletter that will highlight the week ahead with important dates. If you read it each week you will be up to date with Claywell. I know we are all busy. As Ferris Bueller says "Life moves fast. If you don't stop and look around you might miss it." It should be a quick read while you are sitting in a doctor's office, or if you are on an elevator trying to ignore the person next to you.
Please also remember this newsletter can be translated into over 100 languages. Look at the top of top where you can pick your language.
Car Line (Must Haves)
Thank you for your patience the first couple of days. We are almost up and running. Our car line should be much smoother today. I do want to bring your attention to a few things.
When in the car line in the afternoon we are punching your number into our phones. That number relays back to the classroom with the cone number. Your child is notified and then goes to that cone where your car is stopped, and you can pick up your child. The person punching in the numbers will hold up their hand or verbally tell you which cone your child will be at. The cone number will not be the same everyday. It is based on where you are in the line. We have six cones, so we go 1 through 6 and then the numbers start again. Quick and easy process.
We need you to join at the end of the car line. The reason why we ask you to pass Shillington and got to Sapwood, turn left on Southbreeze, left on Shillington and only turn right into Claywell is because this is a long enough loop to where you will join the back of the line. Those that cut through and don't get their number punched in the system wait in the car line forever as we physically have to call your child down from their classroom. This holds up the car line and we are not efficient. Lesson learned is please follow the car linne map below in the morning and afternoon.
Parents of three and four year olds
Another must have is we need you in the car line by 7:10 AM. We have to get your children specifically to class as early as possible. You will also pull all the way down to where our paras can let you out. Also, we need you to put the VPK car tag on your dashboard. You will drive down to cone 1 or 2 to drop off your VPK child. That is where our paras are collecting our students. It is very important that you have the car tag either on your rearview mirror or laying on the dash board.
