Festivities and dress-up days centered around this year's homecoming theme, “Big John's Big Debut.” The LHS community celebrated the week with the annual homecoming parade, community pep rally, carnival and football game. Read more HERE.

Students at Parkway Elementary honored the cultures of their families and friends during a campus parade with traditional dress, informational posters and decorated displays. SEE MORE

Students and staff at Durham Middle School participated in this year's Kindness Week events by writing "thank you" notes to teachers, welcoming one another to school and displaying positive affirmations across campus.

Students in the LHS Harmon Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) program attended the NorTex College Fair where they had the opportunity to discuss admissions, financial aid, scholarships, housing, campus life and more with over 100 colleges and universities.

Students and staff at Lewisville Elementary recognized Dyslexia Awareness Month and World Dyslexia Day by wearing red and decorating rocks with affirming messages for their peers.

Lakeland Elementary celebrated Lewisville High School's homecoming with an Encanto-themed float at the annual community Homecoming Parade. SEE MORE

Hedrick Middle School became the third Lewisville ISD campus to house a World Language Library, providing students the opportunity to read popular books and nonfiction works in other languages thanks to generous donations from Atmos Energy to the Lewisville ISD Education Foundation. READ MORE

Erin Swiedom, Gifted & Talented Teacher at Creekside Elementary, received the Rowena Buck McReynolds Memorial Grant from the Lewisville ISD Education Foundation, providing funding to Swiedom's class for robotics materials.

Students designed and created storybook pumpkins to look like their favorite literary characters. SEE MORE

Students in the LHS Killough Digital Media class get hands on CTE experience designing custom shoes in Adobe Illustrator. SEE MORE

Vickery Elementary's Las Flores Bonitas dance group has participated in multiple events during Lewisville ISD's Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations, including LISD's inaugural district-wide ¡Juntos Celebramos! event and Hedrick Middle School's annual Hispanic Heritage assembly. SEE MORE

DeLay Middle School proved that "they ain't afraid of no ghosts" with their Ghostbusters-themed homecoming parade float. SEE MORE

These 5th grade leaders at Valley Ridge Elementary will be working with counselor Sheri Layne on special service projects, greeting students in the morning, welcoming visitors, and so much more! Keep an eye out for these amazing Jags!

Huffines Middle School hosted a Hispanic Heritage Month celebration, honoring Hispanic and Latin American cultures, traditions and customs with the Huffines community. SEE MORE

Degan Elementary School is now the proud home of the Vernell Gregg Sensory Room (lovingly dubbed “Mrs. Gregg’s Cool Down Town) in honor of one of Lewisville ISD’s most trailblazing icons. READ MORE

Rockbrook Elementary and the Rockbrook PTA hosted the campus's first-ever Donuts with Grownups event, bringing together students, teachers and families for a morning filled with treats and community engagement! SEE MORE

Central Elementary students got the chance to hear about various careers from several community members, including the Lewisville Fire Department, LISD Child Nutrition's Streetz & Beatz team and LISD Superintendent Dr. Lori Rapp. SEE MORE

Students at Mill Street Elementary celebrated Walk, Bike & Roll to School Day in style with the help of Lewisville PD! SEE MORE

Lewisville High School honored Ronnie Gage, longtime LHS football coach and former LISD athletic director, with the official naming of the Ronnie Gage Fieldhouse. • Alexia Ambriz, Mill Street Elementary - "Alexia Ambriz has jumped right into integrating technology into her classroom. She has created very engaging choice boards for her students to access in her Canvas course. I am so impressed by her willingness to try new things and create fun learning experiences for her students. I am excited to see all the ways she will be integrating technology into her instruction this year. Way to go Ms. Ambriz!"
