Congratulations to teacher Karen Alexander of Paul D. West Middle School for her Outstanding Achievement in Computer Science award.
Nefertiti Singleton (Parklane ES/Zone 2 Liaison) was selected to present at the GaETC 2024 Conference. The title of the session is: PoWeR Up Your PD!!!
Gloria Yu (Shakerag Elementary) and Andrea Powell (State Bridge Crossing ES) were selected to present at the GaETC 2024 Conference. Their title is Creating with Canva: Personalized Anchor Charts.
Tavane Moore (Sandy Springs Middle) is presenting at GAETC! Her presentation is titled, "Cultivate Student Agency Creatively Using Instructional Technology in World Languages Classes.
Tavane Moore, Spanish Teacher and World Languages Department Chair at Sandy Springs Middle School, has been accepted to present her 2-hour workshop, “Try Implementing Engaging Stations to Cultivate Student Agency! It’s Easier Than You May Think!”, at the Kentucky World Languages Association Conference, (KWLA). She will also present a 45-minute session, “More Hands-on, Low-Tech, No-Tech, Engaging Activities to Cultivate Student Agency in World Languages Classes!” Integrating instructional technology will be presented in both.
Tavane Moore, Spanish Teacher and World Languages Department Chair at Sandy Springs Middle School, has been accepted to present a 3-hour workshop, “Increase Student Engagement and Agency by Incorporating Interactive Activities and Stations in Your World Languages Classes”, at the Foreign Language Association of North Carolina Conference, (FLANC). She will also present a 50-minute session, “It’s Easier Than You May Think! Try These Various, Free Adobe Express Tools to Cultivate Student Agency and Proficiency Growth”. Integrating instructional technology will be presented in both.
Tavane Moore, Spanish Teacher and World Languages Department Chair at Sandy Springs Middle School, was invited to present a session at the Small Town and Rural Language Teachers (STaRLT) of Georia Seminar in September. Her session, “Cultivate a Culture of Active Student Engagement in Your World Languages Classes”. Various instructional technology sites and strategies will be shared.
