The Weekly Update
Week of: September 16 - 21
Hello everyone!
Well, it feels like fall weather is upon us now! If nothing else, it is getting rid of all the smoke, so I will take it! I hope everyone is ready for another busy week! Before we get into that, let's take a minute to recap last week. Lumberjack sports continues to compete at the highest level! Jr. high volleyball and football travelled to Salmon River last week and won their games! High school football played their first home game of the season where they dominated Notus! Our high school volleyball girls lost an away game against a tough Horseshoe Bend, but quickly rebounded and won an exciting home game against Tri-Valley. The volleyball girls travelled to Mountain View for a tournament this weekend, I haven't heard the results from that yet. I would like to point out our cross country team who is competing very well this year in District III. They travelled to a tough course in Idaho City where three of the four boys finished in the top 11, including sophomore Greer Green placing 3rd out of 50+ runners, and senior Izzy Theurer placed 5th out of 25 girls and Yasmin Leon had a personal record! Great job runners!
