SCN and ECCP Applications Due October 1
Start College Now (SCN) and Early College Credit Program (ECCP) applications are due October 1 to Student Services for juniors and seniors applying to take college courses at NWTC, Fox Valley Technical College, St. Norbert College, and/or UW-Green Bay this Spring 2025.
For those interested in taking courses at Fox Valley Technical College, the first step is to complete the Start College Now Interest Form found at www.fvtc.edu/startcollegenow to get your name on the list to receive important information regarding the Spring term.
Email or schedule an appointment to meet with your counselor for more information and to obtain an application form. NWTC's Start College Now application can be found on Bay Port's Dual Credit webpage.
PIRATE TIME
On most Wednesdays and Thursdays, students participate in PIRATE Time from 10:30 to 11:10 a.m., which is an essential part of their instructional day. Homeroom takes place on the first and third Wednesdays of each month, where we focus on school safety, academic and career planning, and other grade-level activities. On the remaining Wednesdays and Thursdays, students enjoy Choice PIRATE Time, offering opportunities to attend club meetings, receive academic assistance, or engage in enrichment activities. Please remind your child to sign up for these activities by Tuesday evening each week.
PARKING AT BAY PORT - Students
Bay Port Students and Families:
The student parking process for the upcoming school year has been modified to accommodate the large number of student drivers and the limited parking spaces. Students will not be assigned a specific parking spot or lot but will be required to register their vehicle and display a current parking tag when parked at school during the school day.
There are three student parking lots: Lot A, Lot B and Lot C, which are identified by signs in the parking lots. Students may only park in spots with white lines. Staff parking is behind the building and in the athletic lot and is identified by blue lines. An additional overflow lot has also been added by the tennis courts that can be used by students.
Please note that the athletic entrance door, closest to Lot C will close at 7:30 am each morning. Students arriving after 7:30 will need to use the main entrance at Bay Port.
Permit/Registration Process
Students will be required to register their vehicle and display a new parking tag each year. All current drivers must have their vehicles registered by Friday, September 13, 2024. Applications can be submitted to the main office starting on Wednesday, August 28 from 7:00-3:30 and during Open House that evening from 6:30-8:00 pm. A registration table will also be available during lunch hours on the first two weeks of school.
Additional Information
- Parking will be enforced on school days from 7:00 am to 2:40 pm during the school year.
- Students who obtain their drivers license during the school year can apply for a parking permit at the main office.
- Students should not park in the visitor parking spots at any time.
- There is no charge for parking.

ATHLETIC PASSES AND GAME TICKETS
Please use the GoFan app or website for student passes and game tickets for all home games. Once you pull up the pass or ticket from the app/website on your phone, please do not click on use pass or use ticket until you are at the gate with the ticket taker. If you use the ticket before you get to the gate, you will not be able to enter without purchasing another ticket.
You can also purchase tickets at the game using a debit or credit card at the main entrance to the stadium.

Attending a high school athletic event? Read on!
As the sports season begins, a few reminders regarding attending high school game are below.
Carry-ins are not allowed.
In the Student Section this includes food, drinks, noise makers, silly-string, baby powder, signs, backpacks, purses, etc.
Security cameras will continue to be used at the stadium to enhance spectator safety.
Students engaged in unsafe behavior, like pushing other students or throwing objects, will be asked to leave the game.
Unsafe behavior may result in students not attending future football games.
Athletics events are school-sponsored events, therefore appropriate dress is expected.
During home football games all other athletics facilities and fields are closed.
Ticket and Pass Costs:
Student and family athletics passes and tickets are available online at GoFan. This pass is good for all home regular season athletic events excluding Invites.
Cost for passes:
High school student passes = $30 + Processing Fee
Family passes = $65 + Processing Fee
Includes 2 adults and children 8th grade and under in the same household.
One single adult pass = $40 + Processing Fee
Cost for individual tickets:
Adults = $5
Students K-12 = $3

3rd- DNR Fish Netting
Pirate Time | Bay Port High School | WEED D123
Join Bay Port FFA in learning how the WI DNR uses fish netting to collect data about fish populations. Learn how the equipment is utilized in the collections with up close demonstrations.
4th- Ag Camp
8:00- 12:30 | Bay Port High School
Assist in a day of educating students in grades 4-6 about the importance of agriculture through multiple workshops as a camp counselor. Each counselor assists in developing a slideshow and facilitates activities as a team of counselors.
11th- Ag Night
4:00- Kickoff | Bay Port High School | Room A114
Bay Port FFA is hosting Ag Night October 11th in the athletic parking lot area, before the varsity football team plays West De Pere from 4pm-kick off . A fun night to bring kids to meet farm animals, bounce in a bouncy house, play fun games, and eat cotton candy. Join us in bringing this event to our community!
22nd-25th - National Convention
Bay Port FFA travels with multiple other chapters by bus to get down to the annual National Convention hosted by the National FFA Officers. While staying in Indiana for 4 days we get to attend multiple sessions on personal growth and growth of FFA as a whole over the whole United States.
31st- Halloween Bash

Join Bay Port FFA for a fun Halloween themed party where we will compete in both a coloring and pumpkin decorating contest to showcase your spookiest pumpkin designs. Showcase your creativity and unique coloring techniques to make the best looking picture!

7th-9th - Connect/I am Conference
At the Connect/I am conference, students dig deep to learn about themselves and discover strategies to make this year as an FFA member as best as it can be while sharing meaningful connections with one another.
VFW VOICE OF DEMOCRACY COMPETITION
BAY PORT HIGH SCHOOL HOMECOMING
Bay Port's homecoming is October 19th. If your student is planning on bringing a guest from another school please fill out the Dance Guest Pass. Thank you!
Tickets will be on sale in October on GOFAN.
Students who have been suspended or who are considered habitually truant for 30 days prior to the dance will not be allowed to attend. School Board Policy 2500-Attendance: Attendance: A student will be considered habitual truant if they are absent from school without an acceptable excuse for part or all of five (5) or more day, including tardiness, on which school is held during a school semester
ATTENTION JUNIORS: PSAT
PSAT: The Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test or PSAT will be given to Bay Port Juniors only on October 23. The PSAT provides valuable practice for college admissions exams, is a qualifying test for National Merit Scholarships and is required for some scholarship competitions.

ORDERING SCHOOL PICTURES
Your school picture ordering process will be online. As indicated in the flyer, families will now have the opportunity to view their student’s image before ordering. When pictures are taken the students will leave with a form that provides a link, school code, and individual keyword to be able to access their image online and order at that time.
Please know that all orders not placed within one week following picture day may be delayed in processing by up to eight weeks. Any orders placed after December 15th will be subject to increased fees.
PICTURE RETAKE DAY:
Picture Retake day is October 16th.

This imaginative adaptation stays true to the world that Irving creates in this American gothic tale, but adds a lyrical quality that further enhances the humor, the magic, and the terror.

TEST DATE & DETAILS: Tuesday, November 19 at 7:30 a.m. in the PAC.

Please plan to arrive in the PAC by 7:15 a.m. on exam day. The exam will take approximately 3 hours. You will receive your exam results and have them interpreted right after testing is complete.

Dear Seniors and Parents/Guardians,
Senior Photos for the Bay Port High School Yearbook are due by November 20. To be included in the yearbook and to meet requirements from our publishing company, senior portraits must be digitally submitted by the deadline to our digital Submission Form. Working with a professional photographer who specializes in senior photo portraiture best ensures quality printing in the yearbook.
Seniors who do not plan to schedule a sitting with a professional photographer should visit the Gym on Picture Day or Blue Pod on Picture Retake Day to have a photo taken by Harmann Studios which can be used as the professional portrait in the senior pages of the yearbook.

Please adhere to the Classroom Code of Conduct and avoid clothing styles, t-shirts, or background images that indicate weapons, intimidation symbols, political or religious statements, propaganda, plunging necklines, and references to alcohol, tobacco, innuendos, graphics, profanity, etc. Avoid props and gestures.
Many measures are taken by student yearbook editors to acquire photos and prevent mistakes. Printed layouts of senior pictures are posted and emailed multiple times for seniors to reference and request corrections. Bay Port Yearbook cannot be held accountable for missing photos and will not refund or correct any inaccuracies.

The purpose of the event is to develop a clear strategic direction for the future of HSSD. It will be facilitated by Drew Howick of Howick Associates Inc. who has facilitated community conversations for hundreds of Wisconsin school districts.

TRAFFIC UPDATES FOR THE 2024-25 SCHOOL YEAR
Construction on Lineville Road has continued throughout the summer and will continue well into the school year. All traffic updates can be found on the Brown County Construction website.
The current project phase will be taking place through November. What you need to know:
- The parking lots are accessible on Cardinal Lane using the entrance by Forest Glen or Pirate’s Cove Drive. They are also accessible by entering off of Lineville Road at the Belmont Road/Carolina Cherry Drive roundabout or the Rockwell Road roundabout.
- The Cardinal Lane/Lineville Road roundabout is closed.
- Lineville Road in front of Lineville and Bay Port is now open.
Pick-Up and Drop-Off Instructions
- Please plan ahead knowing that there will be increased traffic due to road closures.
- Please do not use the bus corral on the north side of the building to drop off or pick up students from school.
We understand that this is an inconvenience. We kindly ask for your patience as the construction projects continue throughout the school year.

FROM SCHOOL NUTRITION
- New for the 2024-25 school year! Reduced students will be free for breakfast and lunch meals. In addition to School Nutrition supporting families who qualify for reduced-price meals with free breakfast, The Giving Tree is able to extend that support with free lunch as well.
THE GIVING TREE
The Giving Tree will be starting to register families for our December Holiday Store. Please reach out to your school social worker if you think your student may benefit from assistance with The Giving Tree. For our generous community, look for information in future district communications about donating to our Holiday Store and volunteering!
This month we are collecting canned soup. Please feel free to send donations with your students to put in the collections bins/carts near the main office of school. Items can also be dropped off during school hours. The Giving Tree appreciates the community support in helping ensure food is not a barrier to a student’s education

Study Hall Reminder: All students are marked absent every morning for their study hall. Students need to sign in to their study hall at the beginning of the period which removes the absence. 11th and 12th grade students are allowed to leave school during their study hall if it starts or ends their day. 9th and 10th grade students must attend all of their study halls, even if the study hall starts or ends their day. This applies to Block Days as well.
Work Permits are Online: Please visit the new online application tool! It is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. A parent can access the site using these instructions.

Travel & Adventure Club is going to the Galapagos Islands over Spring Break 2026! Do you want to come along? Attend the Informational Meeting in the Forum Room at 6:30pm on October 7th to find out more.
You can spend a day exploring Quito (Ecuador), put one foot in each of the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, visit the Darwin Research Station, and snorkel in the lagoons of the Pacific Ocean.
