Seniors Visit OTC & CofO
FHS counselor, Mrs. Richardson, and Student Success Advisor, Ms. Arie Good, took 18 seniors to the Discover OTC Table Rock Campus Event. Students attended mini informational sessions on "Preparing for College" and "Paying for College." Students were able to tour the campus and view all the programs OTC offers. Several students expressed interest in the nursing and EMT programs, as well as general education and Information Technology. OTC provided lunch and snow cones to all the students! The students left excited about pursuing their programs of interest, and many said they can't wait to get started at OTC after graduation! Mrs. Rchardson and Ms. Good saw several former graduates leaving classes while on tour at the campus.

Mrs. Richardson and Mrs. White took a group of 13 seniors to College of the Ozarks for the Bobcat Days event. At this event, students were able to listen to a presentation about the college and attend a Student Services Bazarre (Financial Aid, Registrar, Career Center, ResLife, Students’ U, Work Education, Christian Ministries, and Academic Affairs). Students also had time to walk through campus for an academic open house in which students met with professors and learned about various programs available. Students were fed an excellent lunch by the CofO catering team. The group ended the day with a housing tour and were able to see the new Student's Union Watson Center. The students all had a great time and were very appreciative they got to see what College of the Ozarks is all about. They were each very excited about moving forward with their college/career planning after seeing what all is available in their prospective programs. Several students submitted applications to CofO at the event.
