Hello Pevely Families!

It is our LAST full week before Winter Break! As we get ready to finish the last week of 2024 together, it is important to remember all of the positives that have already happened this school year! Just to name a few...

• We were officially recognized as a Guinness World Record Holder! Pevely Elementary's record is published on the Guinness World Records website and should be published in the next GWR Book (2026). This is a huge accomplishment that most schools have never achieved!
• Our building-wide attendance average from August to December is 93.89% on a goal of 90% or better. Thank you for making sure your students are at school whenever possible as being in class is essential for learning!
• Pevely Elementary students have passed 11,631 iReady Reading lessons in Semester 1.
• Pevely Elementary students have passed 10,601 iReady Math lessons in Semester 1.
• We currently have 18 Before/After Schools Clubs being offered at Pevely Elementary, most of which are new this school year.
• We have had at least 20 students receive a Bravo Blackcat Award each month from the start of the school year!
• A Buddy Bench will be installed later this month because of the amount of plastic lids donated by our community to recycle into a bench that will be used for years to come!
• We have had at least 200 guests in attendance at every Family Reading Event this school year to read in classrooms.

Thank you for your support at home because it means so much to us at school. These achievements are possible because of the hard work happening at school and home! We have already accomplished many things during the first few months of 24-25 and I cannot wait to see what we will add to this list in Semester 2!
