winter weather impacting recess & dismissal
We have some warm weather in our forecast for this week, and it is my hope we will resume outdoor recess on Monday.
This is just a reminder to please call the office and change your dismissal procedures if you would like to pick up Kindergarten-5th grade walkers in the carline. Please do not park your car in the fire lane where walkers are dismissed unless you are picking up a preschool student. We have procedures in place to support a safe dismissal for all students. Please follow the school procedures and help us ensure a safe dismissal for all. The front curb is only for preschool parents. PreK parents must park and get out of the car to walk up to the building and pick their students up.(So we need to keep the front curb clear for them so they can get to their students).
If you would like to pick up walkers and take them to your car please find a parking spot in the front of the building, in the staff parking lot in the back, or on the street outside the school gate.
I appreciate your cooperation as we work hard to ensure all students dismiss safely.

A note from our school counselor
Hi parents,
Our new trait of the month is all about perseverance. One way to think about perseverance is “pushing yourself through challenges and obstacles.” We all experience challenges in our lives. We all have moments when we feel like we can’t do it or that we want to give up on a big task. It is important to develop tools that help us work through those challenges in order to grow in those moments instead of giving up. How might you practice perseverance as a family this month?
