Mission
We will transform the learning experience within our inclusive community.
A Message from the Principal
Hello Hobby and Hobby Magnet Family,
Welcome to a new school year! We are excited to see our students back on campus and ready for another great year of learning and growth.
As you prepare for the first day, I want to share a few important reminders:
New Parking Lot: The front parking lot is now open! If you need to drop off your child early, the doors will open at 7:15 AM. This should provide more convenience for those with busy mornings.
Bus Information: For those utilizing bus services, please refer to the following link for all the necessary information: NISD Bus Information.
Afternoon Pick-Up: We kindly ask for your patience during afternoon pick-up. Due to ongoing construction, the exit can be challenging as students will be walking in front of the exit area. We are working diligently to ensure a safe and smooth process, but your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your continued support. Let’s make this school year the best one yet!
Continue to stay connected by checking out the Hobby Middle School Calendar , Web page, Hobby PTA on Facebook and Twitter (X)
As Always,
You Matter!
Praise, Promote & Protect.

From the Magnet School Director
I have shared an email to reach out if you still need bus information so please reply to that if you still need assistance. I hope to have staff members riding the buses on the first day to ease some of the nerves. I highly encourage our bus riders to ride on day one so they understand the flow and process. Please arrive 5-7 minutes early from the time given and make sure the students are in the bus loop when the bus rolls in. Times will be a little fluid as transportation works through the traffic patterns and I thank you ahead of time for your patience and understanding.
Construction has been moving along throughout the summer and our returning 7th graders will notice some changes. We have enjoyed making the best of our new temporary walls.

IMPORTANT ATHLETIC INFORMATION
If your child is interested in trying out for a sport, or is enrolled in 7th or 8th grade athletics, there is mandatory paperwork that must be completed before they can be eligible to participate.
An athlete cannot try out for a sport before completing ALL UIL paperwork found on the parent portal. (link below)
STUDENTS NEW TO ATHLETICS:
All incoming students who did not have a medical physical last year MUST complete a medical physical and give a copy to the head coach on campus. The physical form can be printed from the parent portal. The medical history form must be completed online. Print the completed medical history and the physical form and take both of those papers with you to the doctor when you get your physical. Make a copy of the medical physical and turn it into the head coach. You do not need to turn in medical history, but must complete it online.

Technology For Students
Northside ISD works hard to provide a mobile device for every student to participate in classwork. We here at Hobby will begin distribution of student mobile devices and chargers during the first week of the 24-25 school year. Distribution dates and more information will be released before the school year begins
As the school year approaches, all students have been automatically opted into the Northside Technology Lending Program and will be issued an appropriate mobile device. For additional guidance on the NISD Device lending agreement, visit nisd.net/help/device-lending.
If you do not want your child to recieve a device please click here to opt out
