Pillar Falls Elementary

Each month, the teachers in each grade level will select a student who is showing outstanding kindness and citizenship. Those students will be recognized as the " Students of the Month". Watch for the pictures of those students in the hallway and in our monthly newsletter!

We are getting many damaged library books returned to the library. Please remind your child to take care of their library books. Water bottles have done a majority of the damage. If a book is returned damaged, the child will be charged for the book. Let's work together to take care of our books! Thanks!

During the winter months, our car line gets especially long. You can help by doing these few things:

• Use the car line. Cars that try to avoid the line often cause more traffic congestion which makes the lines longer for everyone.
• Come earlier! We don't have a line at 7:40. Leaving your house a few minutes early helps everyone out!
• Be courteous drivers. This makes the whole process easier and safer for everyone!
• If you are picking your child up after school, please use the car line. If you park or pick up your child in front of the school, you are adding to the already busy traffic and making it slower for everyone. The line can't move when cars are making u-turns and circling back in front of the school.
• TRYING TO AVOID THE LINE MAKES EVERYTHING HARDER AND SLOWER!!!! THE LINE REALLY WORKS IF EVERYONE IS PATIENT!!!!

If everyone does their part, the line will move quickly and safely!

Spirit Day is Friday, February 28th! Don't forget to wear your Pillar Falls t-shirt!!!

This year, we are continuing to work hard to improve our students' attendance and tardies. We improved both areas by working hard to be at school--every day and on time! Please help us by making sure your child is at school on time every day. School starts at 8:00. Students who are not in class by the 8:05 tardy bell will be marked tardy for the day. If your child is sick, please notify the office or your child's teacher to verify the absence. Thank you for your help!

Our next PTO meeting will be held on Thursday, February 6th at 10:00 am. We encourage everyone to attend. It is a great way to be involved in our school and help Pillar Falls be the best it can be! We hope to see you there!

Don't forget to bring your ID with you when you visit our school! We need it to check you in when you visit or check your child out of school! Thanks!
