Our library is organized by genre for fiction. Nonfiction is in a separate section. We also have a section for manga and graphic novels. We enjoy recommending books and helping readers find the perfect book for them. You'll find monthly displays for cultural and historic recognitions as well as fun reading promotions. If you're not sure where to start, our displays of Gateway nominees and new books are great options. Each section also has a Twelve to Try list of titles we think are great options.

Through the CPS Portal, students can access the Destiny icon to browse our catalog.

The Sora icon takes students to our ebooks and audiobooks.

You can also track your reading with Beanstack to be entered for prizes throughout the year!

All student laptops are issued and serviced through the Library Media Center. Any students who need laptop assistance should come to the library during the school day. Please note the district policies regarding broken, lost, and stolen 1:1 devices which can be accessed at the button below. Students should see Library staff for help if they have one of these situations occur with their laptop.

When students have problems with their laptops, our first recommendation is to restart by going to the blue Windows icon in the center of the taskbar, clicking the power icon, and then selecting restart. Students should restart and/or shut down their laptops this way at least every other day for best results.

Any requests for hotspots to support wifi access at home should be directed to our Home School Communicator, Ms. Dana Carter, at dacarter@cpsk12.org.

Online students needing assistance can call Technology Services Help Desk at 573.214.3333 (M-F 7:00 am - 5:00 pm) or call/come to Hickman during the school day when school is in session.

The book club meets every last Wednesday of the month during both lunches. Bring your lunch to the library and join fellow Kewpies to discuss any book that is part of the month's theme. See Mrs. Henley or Mrs. Ryan for more information.

Epsilon Beta meets on most 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of the month before school. The first meeting of the month is a business meeting, and the second is an activity meeting. Members participate in activities that demonstrate literacy, service, and advocacy from library. See Mrs. Ryan for more information.
