AEHS Weekly Newsletter
October 20, 2024
Good evening, Einstein Community,
I hope students were able to enjoy their long weekend. As a staff, we engaged in professional development on Friday where we focused on asset-based thinking. Staff developed professional learning action plans to help every student uncover, connect, and apply their assets in the classroom. It was great working with a community of educators dedicated to bringing their best for students every day.
This week is our Homecoming, one of my favorite weeks of the school year. We love the excitement, fun, and collective talents of our students coming together to celebrate our Titan pride. Please refer to the Homecoming section of the Newsletter to get information about each day's theme, pep-rally, Friday's football game, and the dance on Saturday. If you have further questions, please utilize our AskAlbert link or reach out to the school.
Looking forward to a fun week with our students.
Best,
Justin Krop
Principal Intern.

May 2025 Exam Registration and Support Information for Parents - October 2024
This year, students register for AP exams by joining their course’s AP Classroom, which should have been completed in their AP class(es). Please check with your student to confirm they’ve joined the AP Classroom for each AP course that they are enrolled in.
How to Verify AP Exam Registration:
- Have your student log into their College Board account and check their dashboard.
If the course tile for their AP class appears, they are registered for the AP exam. See a screenshot of what the tile looks like on the Right->.
- If the tile is missing, they have not joined the AP Classroom and are not registered. They should contact their teacher for the join code and complete the steps linked in this guide to join their AP classroom(s).

Poet Laureate (NEW)
The DMV Youth Poet Laureate Program is an effort that is organized by Words Beats & Life, a 22-year-old DC-based nonprofit in partnership with Urban Word NYC, the managers of the National Youth Poet Laureate Program. This program seeks to honor local young poets, MCs, and creative writers from across the region who demonstrate exceptional skill in the literary arts and a commitment to using their art to make a difference.
Our goal is to identify and encourage students who are passionate about poetry, spoken word, or creative writing to apply for this honor. Not only does this program provide an incredible platform for artistic expression, but it also offers professional development, mentorship, and performance opportunities, helping to develop the next generation of literary leaders.
The application deadline is November 1st, and we are particularly looking for young people aged 13-19 with a passion for using their creative talents to make a difference in their communities.
