Online Registration
Online Registration opens every year during the spring for current students. Parents are now required to update and sign all forms electronically through ParentConnect. Online tutorials are available on the ParentConnect website to assist.
This includes students who are currently on a Interdistrict transfer from outside CNUSD boundaries. If your student is on an Interdistrict transfer and you would like for your student to continue attending CNUSD for the following school year, you must obtain a Interdistrict transfer renewal form with your current district of residence and drop it off at our Student Services Department located at 2820 Clark Avenue, Norco CA. 92860
There are two options for completing online registration:
- Complete on a computer by visiting https://parentconnect.cnusd.k12.ca.us.
- Download the Q Parent Connection app (available on the Apple Store and the Google Play Store) and complete online registration from your mobile device!

Santiago School of Detectives
Attention students:
The Santiago School of Detectives Introduces the annual schoolwide scavenger hunt ! Unlock the mystery of one of history’s most baffling puzzles—the Voynich Manuscript! Join the quest to decode its ancient symbols, unravel hidden meanings, and contribute to one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in linguistic history. Your discovery could be the key to revealing secrets that have stumped scholars for centuries! All students are eligible to participate from all grade levels and all skill levels are welcome! Please note you will need to be passing all of your classes in order to participate. Sign up as a group of 4, or sign up with less and we will put you into a group! The event lasts all day and you will be excused from class. . The date of the event is May 19. See the fliers around campus to scan a QR code to sign up or stop by L105 or E213 for more information.

AP Art History and AP Art and Design
The Santiago AP Art History and AP Art and Design students were invited for a private tour of the masters works at the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena, CA. Students learned about the historic significance and artistic techniques from the master artists Van Gogh, Rafael, Picasso and more. If you are interested in enrolling in one of the AP Art courses, please see one of our dedicated art teachers.

Visual Arts Pathways
The Visual Arts Department wants to recognize students on our program who complete Art Pathways. This means seniors will be awarded cords to wear during graduation for completing a pathway. Students taking art classes must pass with a B or better in order to qualify.
One Cord (Honors): Level 1 and 2 class + Any Level 1 Class. (Example: Drawing and Painting 1 and 2 and Graphic Design 1)
Two Cords (Distinguished): Level 1 and 2 class + Any Level 1 Class + AP Art Class
(Example: Animation 1 and 2 + Ceramics 1 + AP Art History)
Taking Three Level 1 Art Classes, unfortunately, does not qualify for a pathway.

Athletics
Girls' Volleyball Tryouts
This is for incoming 9th graders and up. Players must be able to attend all three days. Tryouts will be held in the Santiago gym. Athletes must wear athletic clothing (no club attire permitted) athletic shoes, and knee pads (not required but recommended).

Any athlete wanting to participate in tryouts must enroll in Santiago High School for the 2025-2026 school year.
All athletes MUST be athletically cleared by Santiago High School no later than 6/4/25 in order to participate in tryouts.
There are no late tryouts. Athletes must attend the tryout dates listed.
Girls' Volleyball Summer Skills Camp
For incoming 9th graders and up who are NEW to the volleyball program. (Participation in camp is NOT REQUIRED to participate in tryouts.)
Dates: 7/14/25 - 7/17/25
Time: 9 am - 11:30 am
Cost: $100 (Payment MUST be received by 5/16/25.

Attendance/Student Arrival/Office Reminders
- No dropping off items for students is permitted - cell phone, laptop, food, etc.
- Student entrances will be locked at 8:28 am. After 8:28 am, all students are required to check-in at the attendance office windows. See map below for student entrances.
- Parents checking in/signing-out their student must have a physical government-issued ID and must be listed under the Student Contacts in Parent Connect in order to sign-out their student.
- All student checkouts must be done in person.
- For early pick-up: Students early check out process must be fully completed prior to 3 pm. The front office and the attendance office close at 3 pm.

Care Solace
- Care Solace is an online resource with a live 24x7 concierge line meant to assist individuals in finding local mental health-related programs and counseling services.
- To use Care Solace, individuals answer ten basic questions in order to receive an extensive list of referrals to applicable care providers. Care Solace takes into account all types of private insurance including Medi-Cal, Medicaid, and Medicare and those that have no insurance. The system also filters by age, gender, zip code, and special request.
- Care Solace is now available for use by CNUSD students, staff, and families at no cost. Please note, this service is an optional resource available by choice and is not mandatory in any way. Care Solace does not require a user’s name, address, phone number, or date of birth.

RAMADAN: To-go meals will be available for students who observe Ramadan.
In an effort to promote nutrition security and health equity, CNUSD (in conjunction with USDA and CDE) is proud to offer grab-and-go meals for our students who are fasting during Ramadan.
Our grab-and-go meals are shelf-stable and may be requested by students in our breakfast and lunches lines and easily tucked away for later consumption.

General Reminders for Students and Parents
CAUTION:
Corona Police Department will be in the local neighborhood conducting parking enforcing. Please be cognoscente of where you are parking.
- No drop off of food or personal belongings (cell phone, laptop, money, etc.) during school hours.
- Senior drivers without a school issued permit may NOT park on campus for insurance and liability reasons. Non-permitted cars may be towed at owners expense.
- There is limited parking for juniors until the parking construction is completed.
- Students are responsible for bringing their Chromebook fully charged each day as charging access is limited throughout campus.

Updated Cell Phone Policy
Dear Shark Families,
In alignment with State Legislation AB 272 and AB 3216 (Proposed) and under the direction of our Board of Education, the Corona Norco Unified School District has adopted a new cell phone policy to maximize student learning through elimination of distractions during instructional time.
