Spring Semester Exam Schedule
Plano West Renovation Updates
Plano West Students and Families,
We are excited about our renovation and the changes to our Plano West campus. After Spring Break, you will notice the following:
- Parents and visitors who enter the front carpool lane off of West Parker Road will need to turn left immediately upon entering. The traffic circle that has been to your right will no longer be available. Once you turn left, you will need to stay to your left when dropping off your student. This will allow parked cars to back out and safely exit, as well as leave the right lane for cars to pass those who are waiting in line. Campus administration will be available before and after school to help direct you. Please note that while we are making this change, it may take a little longer for you to make your way through the line. As an alternative plan, parents may pick up in other locations such as the outdoor facility area at the SAC, or G building area. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we improve our facilities. Please see the detailed map provided.
- As renovation begins in Building A, we have several classrooms that will relocate after Spring Break. These are primarily in our downstairs LOTE (foreign language) area and English classroom A2023.
- Outside our building you will notice fencing that blocks off construction areas. In addition, there will be fencing near the football practice fields. There is also a construction trailer located by the tennis courts. Twelve tennis courts will be coming near the football practice field.
Inside of Building A, there will be a wall constructed to separate our students from the construction zone. There will be work taking place in Building E as we add an addition that will include a beautiful courtyard area and new wing.

All parking permits can be picked up in the Arctic office in the Student Services Office. You will need a copy of your receipt and your driver's license. Lost and Found
Are you missing a coat or a jacket? Have you lost your lunch bag or water bottle? Check the lost and found bin located in the cafeteria next to Officer Weber's office. Our staff will periodically place items on display, and anything that is not claimed will be donated to our World Wear bin. If you are missing a valuable item such as a cell phone or jewelry, please check in Student Services.
From the Nurse
EOY MEDICATION PICK-UP: Please retrieve all medications by 1:00 p.m. on May 23, the last day of school. We are available from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. We do not store medications on campus over the summer; therefore, any medications not retrieved will be destroyed.
If you would like your child to pick up their own medications, clinic staff must have something in writing or an email from a parent with that request. Controlled substances will NOT be released to students; a parent must pick those up from the nurse.

STUDENT CHECK-OUT PROCEDURE
Parents did you know that you can save time and stay in your car when you follow our "SPEEDY STUDENT CHECK-OUT PROCEDURE" in advanced?
Whenever you know your student has to leave school early for an appointment, please write a note with your student’s name, and the time they will need to leave that day.
- The student will bring the note to the Student Services Office (in the cafeteria) first thing in the morning.
- The student will complete the sign-out procedure, and they will receive a "Permit to Leave" with the time they need to leave.
- Your child will show the pass to the teacher at that time, and he/she will be allowed to leave and meet you outside of the school.
- Student Services always need parental permission for a student to leave school unless it is the student's lunch hour.
- Please remind your student to always sign out and sign in at our Student Services office

Students may be excused from wearing ID cards during classes where doing so presents a hazard to student safety. While on school grounds, at other District facilities, or at school-sponsored or school-related events, students shall provide access to their ID card to any staff member when requested.”
“Student ID cards shall be worn on a neck lanyard so that the front of the card (photo side) is visible over the outermost layer of clothing.
