OLVCS Updates
October 28th, 2022
Dear OLV Parents and Friends,
The end of the first marking period is here. You will see report cards coming home next week, though you may have had a preview if you were able to schedule a conference this week. It’s nice to have these parent-teacher connections as they shed a great deal of light on the personality of the children we’re all invested in helping to grow. While our expectations for behavior are high at OLV, the expectations set at home set the stage for successful school days.
Parent involvement is so important to the success of our school. Families invested in the life and mission of the school make so many things possible, such as our Middle School Fun Night last night and the events that are coming up and we can’t thank you enough.
Have a great weekend!
In Christ,
Jim Hoy

Young Girls Volleyball Finishes Season At First Round Of District Playoffs
The Wolfpack Girls Volleyball team finished their season with a 5 -14 record, placing 5th of 6 teams in the Tri-Valley Athletic League and earning the spot in the District VI Class A playoff bracket. Unfortunately, on Wednesday the team lost in 3 sets to Glendale High School in the first round.
“For a team of 16 with zero seniors, only 2 returning players with varsity experience, and a total of 7 players with no experience at all in the sport coming into the season, it’s a pretty amazing finish,” wrote Coach Cori Donaghy in an end of season email to both players and parents. “I am thrilled at the progress they've made and look forward to watching them grow even more in seasons to come.”
