Notes from East Hill Elementary
May 23, 2024
Dear East Hill Families,
I hope this message finds you well as we approach the end of the school year. I want to remind everyone of our upcoming short week due to Memorial Day and let you know we will not be sending a newsletter next Friday. There will be no school from Friday, May 24 through Tuesday, May 28. Classes will resume on Wednesday, May 29. I hope you all enjoy this extended break.
On an exciting note, this week our fourth-grade students had the opportunity to visit West Genesee Intermediate School (WGIS). During their visit, they toured the school and learned about what fifth grade will be like next year. This was an informative and enjoyable experience for our students, helping them feel more prepared and excited for the transition to fifth grade.
As we observe Memorial Day, let us take a moment to honor and thank all of our service members. Their dedication and sacrifice allow us to enjoy the freedoms we have today. We especially remember those who have bravely served and given their lives for our country.
Thank you for your continuous support and involvement in our school community. Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend, and we look forward to seeing everyone back on Wednesday, May 29.
Love,
~Susan
Congratulations to this week's Wildcat Wow Winners!

Students to Receive Free Breakfast and Lunch Meals
We are pleased to announce that all students enrolled at West Genesee CSD will be able to receive a FREE breakfast and lunch meal at school beginning December 1.
This implementation is a result of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) expanding access to the federal Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). CEP allows eligible schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs to offer school meals at no charge to all students.
What does this mean for your child(ren) attending the school(s) identified above?
Effective 12/1/2023, all students enrolled at West Genesee CSD will be able to receive one free breakfast and one free lunch each school day regardless of the family’s household income. Milk is free with a full meal. No further action is required of you.
If you have any further questions, please contact Food Service at 315-487-4661.
Please click here to read a message to parents about free meals for students.
