A photographer from Strawbridge Studios will be at HHS on 10/10/2024 to photograph your Fall Retake pictures. This https://strawbridge.fotomerchanthv.com/clients/holly-high-school/fall-retake-pictures-10-10-2024-39/optIn link will allow parents to sign up to receive updates via email regarding their child's school portraits. These updates include promotions, additional deals and the ability to order more pictures at a later time. When entering student information, parents should be sure to enter the student's name as it is on file at the school.

We will have our first meeting on Tuesday, September 24th at 2:30pm in Mrs. Gregory's room. Room C239 (Periwinkle Pod) All members need to plan on attending.

Also, any student interested in joining Rho Kappa please see Mrs. Gregory for application. We accept applicants from 10th-12th grade. All applications need to be turned into Mrs. Gregory in room C239 by Tuesday, October 1st.

AP Biology students researched to understand a type of behavior in animals called taxis behavior (a form of movement behavior that involves movement towards or away from a stimulus) They then designed and ran their own experiments to test taxis behavior in pill bugs (rollie pollies).

Señora Hollopeter and Señora Stimon's Spanish 3 & 4 students celebrated Mexico's Independence Day on Monday, September 16th with their own reenactment of the Grito de Dolores (Shout of Dolores). Students learned about the key players and the events leading up to Mexico's war for independence from Spain.

Just like all cities and towns in Mexico, they celebrated the day and kicked off the holiday by staging their own Grito.

NHS is hosting their first Blood Drive of the year on Tuesday, October 1st, from 7:30-1:30pm, in our high school gymnasium. All staff and students who are 17 years old or older are eligible to donate. All 16 year old students are eligible to donate with a parent permission form completed. All donors need a picture ID and will go through a pre-screening process. For this drive, Versiti Blood Centers of Michigan are offering FREE t-shirts to all donors! NHS members will be signing up students and staff during lunches next week through September 30th. You can also use this link to sign yourself up! Don't delay--please save a life and donate on October 1st with NHS!
