Mustang News - December 6, 2024
From The Principal
Welcome back from Thanksgiving Breakβweβve had a busy week back at MSHS. Students and staff have been working hard to finish the semester with meaningful projects, student-led discussions, field trips, and preparation for finals! Congratulations to our Orchestra & Band students as well as Dave Williams on two fantastic concerts this week! We are also excited for the 6th-12th Choir Concert this upcoming Thursday, 12/12 at 6:30 pm.
Thank you to the many parents and guardians who completed our recent Parent/Caregiver survey in November! We really appreciate your feedback and the chance to both continue building on our celebrations and strengthen our areas for growth. Our highest scoring items included providing meaningful athletics and activities for all students, having a clean and well-maintained school, and providing a safe environment for students to learn. Our most significant areas to grow are communicating positive phone calls, emails, or notes about students. During our staff meeting today, we reviewed this feedback together and are in the process of developing an action step to address this growth area, which we will communicate out in a future newsletter.
Also, please be aware we are updating our contact information in Powerschool to improve alignment with all our systems. A test message was sent out via email, phone call, and text on Thursday, December 5th at 4:00pm. If you do not receive an email message, text or phone call, please email Christina Baker at cbaker@mssd14.org. If you prefer not to receive phone calls, or emails, please contact Christina and she will remove you.
We are looking forward to finishing the semester strong across all of our classes followed by finals: December 18th-20th! Please see below for our specific schedule:
