Principal's Message
Hello Families,
Where has the year gone? We started in September learning "The Wildcat Way," sang in concerts, bought books at the book fairs, celebrated our learning in May, and here we are now in June ready for summer. This past school year I have seen many wonderful activities, as well as students enjoying learning. Summer is a great time to experience learning in a different way. Going on vacation, getting a library card and checking out books, playing games, or simply reading together are great ways to bring new experiences into your child’s life.
One of the challenging aspects of finishing a school year, at least from a principal’s perspective is the fact we have been busy planning for next year already. With that in mind, help me congratulate Mrs. Cooke (1st grade), Mrs. Palm (3rd grade) and Mrs. Docter (4th grade) on their retirement! Together they have over 80 years of service to the Oconomowoc Area School District! We will miss them dearly but wish them nothing but the best in retirement.
On behalf of all of our staff, thank you for your support and encouragement during these past 9 months. Rest and recharge this summer, go make great memories, and we will be ready and waiting for you in September!
Paws Up,
Mr. Schreiber

Oconomowoc Public Library Summer Reading
- You can participate in ‘Read On, Wisconsin!’, a special campaign and contest to encourage literacy and kick off summer reading. Wisconsin Badger fans and young readers can visit the Oconomowoc Public Library and public libraries around Wisconsin to pick up unique collectibles and enter a chance to win incredible prizes.
- To help celebrate the Summer of Oz the Oconomowoc Public Library is having a Big Community Read. You can pick up a free copy of Finding Dorothy by Elizabeth Letts starting June 1 at the Library.
- Adventure Begins At Your Library - Embark on a journey this summer! Dive into the pages of thrilling tales, explore far-off lands, and meet fascinating characters along the way. The Summer Library Program offers programs, prize drawings, and more for all ages!
- And for our future Wildcats - 1000 books before Kindergarten encourages you to read 1,000 books with your child before they enter school. Reading together helps develop important pre-reading skills that provide a solid foundation that is key to school and learning success. Plus, sharing stories together is fun! It’s easy to get started.
Have a Great Summer!
We hope everyone has such a wonderful last day for the 23-24 school year and we wish all of our OASD students and staff a safe and fun summer! #OconPride #OconDriven
Parent Request to Move or Refund Credit Balances
- All credit balances can be moved over to a families food service account, this is our preferred use of credit balances but we understand sometimes this just doesn't make the most sense.
- Credit balances on student fee accounts will only be refunded if over $15.00 and all other fees are paid in full. If your family food service account is in a negative balance, funds will be moved to cover this overage prior to any refunds.
- Credit balances can be moved to sibling accounts to pay for outstanding fees.
- Credit balances cannot be moved to pay for web store items.
- Refunds will be processed within 1-2 weeks of submission.

New Process For Entering School During the Day
We’re taking some additional steps to ensure the security of our front entrance during the school day. Everyone who comes to our front entrance during school hours will be asked to do the following:
Push the buzzer to call the main office
Be prepared to identify themselves and their reason for visiting
Enter the main office once the doors have been unlocked
If you’re visiting school during the day or picking your child up early, please contact the main office before you arrive to let us know. It will speed up this new process if we know when to expect you.
Thank you for helping to keep our school safe!
