Spelling Bee
Last week’s Spelling Bee was yet another reminder why I love being a part of Mountain View! During my brief introduction to kickoff The Bee I reminded our student spectators how, at Mountain View, we choose to do hard things and also how much courage it takes to stand in front of a few hundred people and spell difficult words. I then roughly quoted Mark Twain when he said, “Courage is not the absence of fear, it is action in spite of it.” It’s always an honor to see our students try hard things, fall shortl, and then get back up again.
Congratulations to all of our students who participated in the Spelling Bee and to our winner Jaxon Deputy and runner up Janna Sivukhin!
Congratulations to Ms. Jo Enke
On this morning’s announcements to students, I shared that Ms. Enke was selected by her colleagues as Mountain View’s Teacher of the Year for 2024-2025! As principal, I believe the arts are the soul of a school, thanks to teachers like Ms. Enke, our school’s soul is thriving!
