April Newsletter
Dear LMS Families,
Welcome to the April edition of the LMS Newsletter! I hope that everyone had a chance to relax over spring break. We are in the home stretch now to the 2023/2024 school year and the end of the year will come fast. April is testing month for every district across the state and we are no different. It is very important that your student charges their Chromebook the night before testing and gets a good nights sleep. Please encourage your student to give their best effort. As always, thank you for everything you do!

LMS Spring Testing (April and May)
April and May are busy months here at LMS with the state spring testing windows. It is very important to encourage your child to charge their Chromebook each night, get a good nights sleep, and eat a healthy breakfast prior to the scheduled test session.
Each 8th Grade student has set up a College Board account, this account will remain with them throughout their educational journey. Please encourage them to put their username and password in a safe location.
8th Grade
PSAT 8 - April10 - The PSAT 8 is an online format, new this year. The format of the test has changed, with both Math and the Reading portion being completed by students online through the Bluebook App. This app is already downloaded on student Chromebooks. We have had one practice session already and the final practice session will be tomorrow, April 2nd, prior to the test on April 10th. This will allow both the students and the staff to become familiar with the new format. By signing onto their College Board accounts, students may work through practice sessions at anytime. I encourage students to login and take some time becoming familiar with the test. Practice tickets were also issued to each student, the students can log into Bluebook at anytime to take a practice PSAT.

Remember that your school counselors are also here to help!

Assistant Principals Corner
Hello LMS Families,
Welcome back from a much needed spring break. I hope you were able to enjoy some time with family and friends and are ready to finish the year strong. A few things I would like to remind you of as we get closer to spring and our end of the year field trips. We put guidelines in place at the beginning of the year for students to be able to earn going on field trips. If your student has received 2 major referrals or 5 referrals of any kind, I will be in touch with you within the next few weeks if I haven't already. Also, in order to attend our field trips, all fines must be paid. This includes fines that may have traveled with students from their elementary years. The due date for all fines to be paid in order to participate in end of the year activities is May 17th.
Please click the link below or visit our main office at LMS to pay any fines your student has. For any questions regarding fines, please reach out to Angi Baldwin at abaldwin@lindenschools.org
Thank you!
