Sacred Heart Catholic School News

End of the School Year
Next Tuesday is our last day of school and while we are thankful for a fabulous year, we are also excited for the summer. Our final days of school are filled with fun activities such as track & field, passing the torch ceremony, 8th grade graduation, DARE graduation, awards day, and end-of-the year parties.
I am proud of our staff for providing a strong academic year of growth for our students and their commitment to Catholic education. We are blessed to have a dedicated group of educators that really see each student as a child of God. Each staff member works to ensure that we are helping our students be the best they can be.
Thank you to our school parents for their partnership in their child’s education and their countless hours of volunteering to help us provide programs and events all year long. Thank you to our donors that allow us to offer a Catholic education to those whom might not otherwise be able to afford it. Thank you to Fr. Pedersen for his dedication to the school. Last of all, thank you to all the Sacred Heart parishioners for their support all year long.
Make sure all school accounts are paid in full and all materials are turned in
We rely on tuition accounts paid in full by June 1st. Report cards will not be distributed to your child unless your account is current.
Please make sure your Kids Club and lunch account have been paid in full and library books, Chromebooks, textbooks, and athletic uniforms are turned in.
Please contact Karen if you have any questions.
Please help us spread the word about our 3 and 4 year old PreK program
We would love to enroll more students in our 3 and 4 year old PreK for the 2024-2025 school year. We are now offering ALL DAY PreK for 3 and 4 year olds. Parents may choose full and part time options for both groups.
Please spread the news to friends and neighbors about our program. We would love to give a tour to prospective families and we will continue to do so over the summer.
New 3 year old PreK Teacher Hired--Mrs. Joni Walker
I am very excited to be back! I volunteered and worked here when my kids attended school at Sacred Heart. Our Sacred Heart village remains great friends. I held many hats as a paraprofessional, preschool teacher and art teacher while at Sacred Heart. I have over 15 years of experience with preschoolers and we have fun! I also have experience in mental health and occupational therapy. My husband and I live in Plymouth. We have 2 children in their 20’s. Our daughter recently got her doctorate in physical therapy and my son just graduated from St. Thomas with a music business degree. In our free time: we enjoy visiting with family, attending MN Wild games, traveling, camping, canoeing and listening to our son play lead guitar in several bands for the local Minneapolis music scene. I am looking forward to meeting all the new families and kids at Sacred Heart.

The Holy Spirit and the Feast of Pentecost
Young children are eager to celebrate the feast of Pentecost because they have come to know and love the Holy Spirit. In the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd atrium, the children know that at Pentecost, just as Jesus promised, God sends the Holy Spirit, so that we, his disciples, may receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Athletic News-Coaches Needed 2024-2025
Attention Parents, Grandparents and former Coaches!
Sacred Heart is in need of coaches for girls basketball, softball and baseball.
Positions are volunteer and can be used towards your family volunteer hours. Not to mention forming long, lasting relationships with Sacred Heart parents and students!
The girls’ basketball season runs from the beginning of January into the 2nd week of March.
Softball and baseball run concurrently from the beginning of April until the end of May.
Grades 5-8 can participate so this is an excellent opportunity for someone with a child in those grades to be responsible for building their athletic confidence!
If interested, please contact Seth Wilhelm swilhelm@sacredheartschoolrobbinsdale.org or

Need help paying for tuition?
MN Fundraising Initiative (MNFI) secures contracts with over 23 venues in the greater Twin Cities area including Target Field, Target Center, Canterbury, and US Bank to operate food and beverage concessions stands at their events.
MNFI organizes teams of volunteers from all over the state of MN and WI who work together to run these stands. In turn, MNFI receives donations from these venues. The donations are then used to award grants to families in local communities to allow youth to attend private school, such as Sacred Heart Catholic School and participate in enrichment activities they may not otherwise be able to enjoy. Checks are mailed directly to Sacred Heart in your name.
Many of our school families use this organization to help pay for tuition.
