Mountain Ridge Middle School News
October 2024
Congratulations to our October Employees of the Month
Karen Sprafke- Mrs. Sprafke is a ray of sunshine. She always goes the extra mile (literally and figuratively) for her students and our staff. She is always willing to put in the extra work in order to ensure student success. She is a positive and uplifting colleague who cares deeply about her MRMS family. She has been a true leader helping the ELA department through some rough times. She sees and accepts students as they are and has a wonderful way of making them feel special. Thank you Karen, you are pretty great!
Beckie Salmi- Beckie is the most patient and kind Computer Support Technician this side of the Mason Dixon. She is always willing to help, problem solve and listen. She takes our IT problems and fixes them and doesn't judge us (outwardly, but inside she is probably counting to 10 and taking deep breaths) when we have neglected to update our systems for the last 18 months. She does so much in our building beyond tech. MRMS is lucky to have a CST who is a team player and always helping out in any way she can. Tech-y Beckie, you are awesome!
Staff Update- Farewell Ms. Twete
Please join me in congratulating Tanya Marchmantwete on her new position and adventure as a school counselor. Ms. Twete will be completing her graduate studies in school counseling and has accepted a position within the district and will be starting after Fall Break.. We are sad to see her go but know she is going to be a wonderful asset to her new community. We are currently in the hiring process for the social studies opening, please know that. Ms. Twete is dedicated to making this transition as seamless as possible and will work with whomever is hired to ensure our students do not miss out on any learning opportunities.
