The Rocket Way
Respect - Pride - Integrity
Rockets Rock!
Dear TLE Families,
Fall is here and the weather is changing! Please make sure to dress your small people in appropriate gear for the day. Layers are especially helpful when it is chilly in the morning and warmer in the afternoon. Please remember that unless it is raining we go outside for recess - two times per day. Please help us keep everyone warm and cozy!
Our November theme is Teamwork! Here is why we focus on teamwork -
Teamwork improves communication.
- Teamwork helps us improve our verbal and non-verbal communication skills, conveying that we care and have a relevant message.
- Teamwork builds interpersonal awareness. Growing a great team requires us to first build strong relationships through a better understanding of ourselves and others.
- Teamwork celebrates diversity. Teamwork thrives from diverse ideas that come from a mixture of different genders, cultures, expertise, experiences, and problem-solving approaches.
Thank you for being part of our Twin Lake family. As always, please reach out to the office if you have any questions. We are here to help!
Thank you!

Book Fair!!
You can visit our school's website and order books online or set up an "e-wallet" for your kids to use to purchase books! Remember, this is a fundraiser for our PTO and adds books to all of our kids' classrooms.
Thank you!
Attendance is IMPORTANT!!
Hello Families!
I wanted to take a moment to remind everyone about the importance of coming to school every day. Attendance affects academic scores in reading and math. Even if a student is called in as excused, missing school is a significant issue. We want to work with you to make sure your students are coming to school.
Chronic absenteeism is missing 10% or more of school days missed. This is for students that are excused or unexcused. We want your students to be here and we will work with you to ensure your student's success.
Please reach out if you have questions and watch the video below from Attendance Works.
Thank you!

Household Income Survey
Every year we ask families to complete a household income survey. This information helps us with funding for Title I and At-risk programs for our school. These programs help us with small groups for extra reading and math help and other valuable programs for our kids.
At the beginning of the year, we asked families to complete their parent portal information, but a few of our families "clicked through" this survey. If you could please complete this, we would be really appreciative!
Please click and complete the survey below (if you missed it at the beginning of the year):

- Have them click "apply for benefits" and follow the prompts
Free Family Movie nights!
Here is a great opportunity to enjoy some family time together!
Sock-tober Donations!
Pictured is Mrs. Mason's class that brought in over 300 pairs of socks!
Youth Hockey Sign Ups
The hockey coach has asked that I share this information with you for a newsletter IF you include things like this. It is registration for Norton Shores Rec Hockey. For hockey, there are not school specific youth leagues and this would be the simplest entry level.

Lost and Found
Our lost and found table is growing exponentially! Please check this picture and if you see anything that might be from your house, please call the office or email Mrs. Bennink benninkj@reeths-puffer.org.
