Double Zone Champions!
Today turned out to be the perfect day for Zones Rippa and Rugby, and it was great to see all our teams giving their best in the competition.
This was another outstanding sporting performance for all those who participated, with the Boys' Under 40's and the Girls' Rippa each securing 1st Place and winning the Zone.
I'd like to congratulate them all on an amazing team effort, with thanks to our Sports Coordinator, Karen Moore, Andrew Fisher, Brad McMahon and Becky Boyes for their work trialling, coaching and supporting the teams.
BOT Election Results
I'm also delighted to announce that the BOT Election has now been officially declared. The Returning Officer received 7 parent nominations, filling the vacancies without a vote being required.
Brad McMahon (re-elected by staff) and myself continue in our Trustee roles, as will Mei Tang (who was co-opted during the tenure of the outgoing Board). We look forward to welcoming the new Board, including returning Trustees Richard Pook and Annette Quesado, along with Nigel Sinclair, Fleur De Vries-Oskamp, Mike Nooney, Virginia Brown and Anna Thomas.
With the new Board now constituted, I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank those we farewell, including Presiding Member (Board Chair) Murray Streets, Fleur Longley, James Powell, Mathew Gribben and Josie Easingwood.
Each of our outgoing trustees has contributed their unique skills and perspective to the work of the Board during a particularly tumultuous few years dealing with COVID, but at all times each one has remained focused in their support of the school, the best interests of the children in our care, the staff, our Strategic Goals and myself as Principal to help determine the best possible path forward.
An effective, united Board working towards a coherent vision makes a huge difference in the life and work of a school, and we can be assured that the good governance we have benefited from over the years has left the school in an excellent position for the incoming Board to continue building upon.
I'd like to add my personal thanks to a fantastic group of dedicated and hardworking parent trustees - it's been a genuine pleasure working alongside such a talented team!
