Developing communication skills is important for classrooms, teamwork, and future employment (to name a few). Help support your student in expressing their feelings while also modeling how to actively listen to others when they are speaking. If your child is working through a peer conflict, role play with them, allowing them the opportunity to work through the best way to express themselves.
Muskego Middle School Track Team
If your student missed the informational meeting on 2/25, they must send an email to Coach Rilling (elizabeth.rilling@muskegonorway.org) or Coach Berger (phil.berger@muskegonorway.org) by 3/3 in order to get the information needed to participate in the sport. If they do not do this by 3/3, they may not participate in the season.
H.A.W.S Donation Drive
The NJHS members are hosting a H.A.W.S. donation drive from March 3rd - April 3rd. Please consider donating canned cat food, dog toys, distilled water, larger bath towels, and soft dog treats. Your donations ensure that H.A.W.S. can provide care and medical needs for our animals, promote responsible pet ownership, and prevent animal abuse and neglect.
FAB LAB IS BACK
Fab Lab (short for Fabrication Lab) is an after school club offered at Lake Denoon throughout the school year and is advised by Mr. Todd Sobczyk (Tech Ed Teacher). Fab Lab will create 4 different projects, each geared to a different grade level or grade band. All grade levels will have an opportunity to participate in Fab Lab sometime throughout the school year.
Our fourth and final project is for 8th grade students. These students will design and create an American Flag for the workshop. During this time students will use miter box saws, routers, sanders, CNC machine, lasers, and a variety of hand tools.
Fab Lab will be held from 3:15 - 4:15 on March 10th, 11th, 17th, and 18th in the LDMS woodshop. Please only sign up if you are committing to meeting every single club meeting, as the projects will take all 4 days to design and create. Please arrange for your own transportation and prompt pick up at 4:15.
This no fee club is limited to the first 20 students that sign up. Please sign up here. You will receive an email confirming your participation and next steps.

In the meantime, if you have an concerns about your child's academic performance, please reach out to your child's teachers.
Timberwolf Study Den Sign-Up
Timberwolf Study Den is an after-school club held on Wednesdays and Thursdays in Mrs. Rappis' room from 3:05 to 4:00 PM. It provides a quiet, focused environment for students to complete homework, with the possibility of receiving additional help. Each session is supervised by two advisors, along with National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) volunteers, who are available to assist when they are familiar with the content.
Club Expectations:
- Come prepared with all necessary materials and remain in the classroom once you arrive.
- The primary goal is to focus on homework, not to socialize.
- Maintain a quiet voice (level 1).
- Show respect to all advisors (Mrs. Rappis, Mrs. Bremberger, Mrs. Gorr, and Ms. Butchart).
- Ensure you have arranged transportation and are picked up on time.
If students are interested, they should fill out this form with the date(s) they plan on attending so that advisors know how many students to expect. There's also a spot to indicate whether or not they will be looking for help with any homework. This will help us to pair up students with a teacher or older student who may know the content best.
If you have any questions regarding this club, please reach out to Nikki Kamperschroer at nicole.kamperschroer@muskegonorway.org.
