Principal's Note:
Dear Spartans
Don't forget to change those clocks this weekend as Daylight savings time ends. Enjoy the extra hour of sleep.
Thank you to all of the families who donated items this week in preparation for Parent Teacher Conferences. We truly appreciate the partnership we have with all.
As a reminder, there is no school on Tuesday November 5th. Our team will be in professional development. One of the tasks that they will be doing is to examine data from marking period (MP1) Common Assessments (CSA's) to drive their instruction. There are half days on Wednesday, November 6th & 7th. We are running hours 1-3 on Wednesday and hours 4-6 on Thursday. Students who have LCTC 3/4 block will report to the South Cafeteria on both days.
We hope that you can join us for Parent Teacher Conferences. A separate email was sent out on Wednesday for sign ups.
Last week, I had the honor to visit with our Career Intern Students at the Livonia Career & Technical Center. Each student shared their experience with their employer, highlights, and what they do on a daily basis. These students are highly motivated, mature, and will be excellent additions to the workforce. Some have already been offered employment.

Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) Testing
Stevenson High School is pleased to host the ASVAB for students in 10th-12th grade on Friday, November 15th during hours 1-3.
The Department of Defense sponsors the ASVAB CEP with a two-part mission: to provide a career exploration service to American youth and provide qualified leads to military recruiters. Participants have no obligation to talk to a military recruiter or enter military service, but students in 11th grade and beyond can use their scores to explore enlistment if they choose.
Students may sign up now through November 12th. Please note they must be signed into their LPS account to complete the form. The link to this form is also in the Class of 2025, 2026, and 2027 google classrooms.
Students are responsible for any missed assignments and learning if they choose to test.
Space is limited and seniors will be given priority. Additional testing will be scheduled if there is sufficient demand.
Please contact Mr. Miller in the Counseling office if you have additional questions.

Students who need to check out during the school day must have a parent/guardian report their absence here to get a pass before school begins or bring a note from their parents or guardian to their Assistant Principal's office prior to their first hour. The note must contain the name of the student, date of absence, time of departure, parent signature, and contact number.
