The BPG is sponsoring the Winter Wipeout campaign in January, and will celebrate with the Glow Dance on 1/31/25! This week bring in tissues and disinfectant wipes!

The BPG's Winter Wipe Out Collection Continues!

Since we missed the first week of January, we will be collecting tissues and sanitizing wipes this week!

January BPG Meeting

All are invited to join the Byrd Parent Group Meeting on Monday, January 13 at 2:30. You can join in-person in the Byrd library or virtually using Google Meet and the information below.

We hope you will consider joining a great group of parents and guardians who work in partnership with teachers to make the best possible school experience for our kids!

Goochland Restaurant Reading Incentive Program

The Goochland Restaurant feels passionate about encouraging reading throughout our community! They are sponsoring a reading incentive program that is similar to the BOOK-IT Program many adults loved once-upon-a-time! Goochland students will receive a bookmark to track their reading. Once students have read 8 books, then they can turn the completed bookmark into the Goochland Restaurant in exchange for a free drink AND their choice of fries, onion rings, or a cookie! The best part is that students are not limited to just one bookmark! They can complete multiple bookmarks!

GMS Curriculum Night

Come learn about the courses at the middle school, meet the 6th grade teachers, and attend a rising 6th grade info session in the auditorium at 6:00pm!

Helpful Links & Info

Please notify the office about transportation changes via email at beseagles@glnd.k12.va.us. If you have daily transportation needs, please make sure you provide changes at the beginning of each week for the entire week. Please make sure you have all transportation changes in prior to 1:00 PM, this allows staff time to communicate all necessary changes and avoids confusion when a call is not received. We appreciate your support.

Parents who wish to chaperone a field trip or volunteer regularly in our school must submit to a background check every 2 years using the BIB portal. The process is completely electronic. If you are having problems with the system, contact Demetra Harris at dharris@glnd.k12.va.us.
